well the ole fishing hole won’t be the same, Earle passed today.....Andy won't be whistling anymore.

he was actually quite accomplished and his resume extended beyond the whistling intro to the Andy Griffith show.

I just saw that he died. (Taking leave for a few days to take care of handymen coming in.) I find myself whistling that tune sometimes when I read posts here.

He also wrote the themes to I Spy, The Mod Sqad, and That Girl, and others. I did not know that. He's a talented man who left a lasting impression on a generation through his music.
