What makes you think those things aren't going on while I'm watching basketball?

If I drank heavily each and every time I had man trouble...I'd quite simply be dead.

That might be my problem, did nothing for me so joints may not be the best bet. The thing is it was also rolled in with tobacci so that didn't help either...

See, I'm more of a social drinker, so I hardly ever crack open a beer or make myself a mixed drink when I'm home by myself. So, my drinking is mostly limited to going out to the bar with friends or going to a friends house and hanging out, having people over to my place, etc. I find drinking by myself depressing for some reason (while I don't find it depressing at all when others do it, oddly enough), so I guess that's kind of stopped me from reaching the point you're talking about.
But with you, you spend a lot more time out and about than most and seem to have a much more hectic social life so you get your fair share of liqor. (Also you can only ever have a bong or hit at home because its illegal so i guess it makes sense). I was never too heavily into drugs so i just stuck to the drink.

Some people get home and have a beer to relax, I get home and take a bong hit. Plus after a beer or two, my drive to do anything drops significantly, while (contrary to most people, it seems) I'm still quite motivated and able after a bong hit.
See you seem to have the reverse effect on you from drink and pot than most Americans, yours is more a European set up. Most Americans ridicule beer and say all it does is quench their thirst as it tastes like piss; but the grass gets them stoned. Yours works the other way round like in Europe, but there most of the beer is stronger so that may explain why. (Though it tastes nastier). Are you drinking imported beer?

Oh indeed i expect it does...but most folks drink the odd beer when they watch basketball. Just be grateful you're not a baseball fan, 156 nights a year slugging down the drink is quite a task!

Yea, sounds pretty weak.

Well, I stick to beer, mostly. And a few of my friends smoke, so I do smoke outside of the home (in other people's homes, haha). Plus, we're good friends with a bartender at a local bar and he smokes, so it's not uncommon to hang around after the bar closes and smoke there. Crazy potheads!

I drink a pretty wide variety of beers and I wouldn't say most of them are imports. Maybe it's because I started smoking pot before I started drinking and that's got my body all out of whack. First time I got stoned was 7th grade. First time I got drunk was the summer after 10th...

A better statement for you to make would be "I was never too heavily into any drugs except alcohol."

Re: What is your hangover cure?

Pot in 7th grade eh Speak? Impressive!

I used to do the same with a guy who runs a bar too, but we couldn't get enough folks to join in.

I pretty much deteste all beer these days, though i don't like the calories either. I got like 50 bottles of very fine ales and rare fine beers from Europe, Australsia and Asia like 6 months ago, it just looks so nasty though, 7 to 8% in each and probably taste like crap.

Cider used to be nice though.

Oh no, i mean if we're talking legal substances i was also into pain meds and battled with other addictions too.

The differenciation between drugs and liqor is usually one of convenience, folks know what you're reffering to because they go by the same definitions, which are the legal ones usually.

Re: What is your hangover cure?

Which in turn i'm sure, leads you to mass scale drinking eh?

And round the circle goes...

Re: What is your hangover cure?

Marijuana cures all aches.
So does a burrito before bed.
And here's a fun secret: a multivitamin after a night of drinking, in the morning you won't feel a thing.
