No ! He was weird and a child molester but he was a human.

At my age it seems I can name more dead close friends than live ones. I even feel a twinge when an enemy dies. Never liked Jackson or will miss him but hope his spirit finds peace.

It appears you missed the OP, in which I said "hated his music". Perhaps in your world, hate = indifference.

He was a total freak no doubt about that -- but the guy had musical talent -- you cannot deny that. His album Thriller is still the world wide best selling album of all time -- the only album in record history to break the 100 million copies barrier (and no. 1 by a long, long shot -- for instance no. 2 is AC/DC Back in Black at 45 million which is less than half).
I never stated he wasn't talented. I can't stand most of his music.

The sheer odds are that more than a few people here (whether they admit it or not) bought that album.
Those would be difficult odds to calculate.

It's not slander (and in any case it would be libel, not slander) to state that one thinks his music sucked.

Not technically interesting? Hmmm....maybe you don't understand the intricate ways in which he could weave his voice to fit in perfectly with the beat. His a singing ability was much beyond the vast majority of singers, in a technical sense.

The autopsy is sure to be interesting from an engineering prospective.

How was Jackson slandered?

All I saw was an opinion that was expressed.

Truth be told, he was no musician. He was an entertainer. He was a singer, and he was a dancer, but he was no musician.

What he truly had a talent for, and this is something which cannot be overstated, was finding musicians, singers, and dancers which complimented his style. Working with people ranging from Sheryl Crow to Eddie Van Halen, and melding them into his regular stable of musicians, could not have been an easy thing to do...

The guy became famous and made too much money too soon. The guy went off the deep end pretty quickly.

Re: Michael Jackson dead

I hope nothing else has happened in the news...Jesus Christ - I believe we have had enough of this!!
God, Fox and CNN ran this friggin "story" for 4 hours yesterday...and this morning - nothing but M.Jackson...you would have though
a former President died.
He hasn't been popular in the U.S. since the late 90's...we don't like adult men who invite little boys for sleepovers and gives them wine (to help them sleep) and oh...he has porn mags and videos in the same room...coincidence I'm sure..
Anyhow...I can't be the only one who really don't care about this one way or the other.

Re: Michael Jackson dead

I feel happy for his "kids". I suspect tonight will be the best night's sleep they've had in their life as they won't be getting a late night fiddle by a man who likes kids more than what would be considered "normal". Michael Jackson (the black version) used to make great music. The genetic freak that passed away today will not be missed by anyone other than plastic surgeons who relied on him to pay for their weekend retreats. I say god riddance to rubbish.

Whats there to say. One of the best artists ever, and I prefer to think of him before all the wierdness. Its sad that he never came back.

Re: Michael Jackson dead

No mention of this at all on Bolivian news.

Rest in peace, Michael. You were one of the best.

Re: Michael Jackson dead

Thriller was his highest point of his life, and what he'll be remembered for, along with some of his childhood performances etc. A cynic might say his life would have been better lived and remembered if he had died in the 80's...

Well, don't worry, because now we can get a super realistic Thriller music video remake.
