Re: The university of Virginia and the University of Connecticut

I used to pull for the Aussies myself when i used to watch the sport, but as a team sport i surprisingly used to pay more attention to the stats of individual players.

So even then, i was following the best team around!

Btw Texas is the biggest backer of cricket in the US, and our cricket team along with Canada's has had some recent sucess in ODI/LOI cricket.

Stanford, ironicically did well in Texas, but when he spent time in VA, he ended up arrested and in jail now!

Btw don't take it personally that Mrs. M doesn't understand what y'all say...see she is just used to listenning to folks in LA talk and obviously it sounds different saying the same thing through a mouth with only one tooth like they all have over there! (She's gonna kick the shit out of me... )

Re: The university of Virginia and the University of Connecticut

It's hard to beat the history at UVa, already mentioned. It's also hard to beat its day trip distance from the Capital. Charlottesville is a great little college town. But, downside, to me, is it is south of the Mason-Dixon.

UConn is also a great choice in general, too. And, you are weekend roadtrips away from more metro areas - NYC and Boston.

Both are in the boondocks, but Charlottesville is bigger, so there might be more catering to the student population there.

Pick the place that has the best faculty based on what your major is, as both will give you a good 'American university' experience. The winters are milder in VA, if that is an issue with you.

Oh, and New England universities have no clue how to properly play football.

Indeed! I've been saying this for a while!

Actually, Southern VA (South Boston/Roanoke/Danville area) sounds pretty damn country, even more country than I sound. But not as classy. LOL, yeah I said it. They say Riva..not River. Its strange.

Anyhooo....

Always nice to see southerners fighting amongst themselves.

Actually passing the time by fighting amongst ourselves usually leads to appearances on COPS. In our pink spandex shorts and crop tops that we really should NOT be wearing.
