Well, I really liked Rome. I do feel Imperator's pain though. If you have any sort of knowledge of the Roman period there are certain things that would rub you the wrong way. I did like watching it and thinking, whenever Octavian was getting shit on, "Oh, all will be settled".

BoB, while a good series, managed to piss me off. After that fucking series came out a shit-ton of new WW2 reenactors joined the hobby. That, in and of itself, is a good thing. What pissed me off was that every single one of them seemed to only join reenactment units portraying the 101st.

Don't really watch too much TV but here are the ones I choose.

    1. Glenn Beck

    2. Discovery Science Channel (yes, it just stays on that channel most of the time)

You're right, I also blame Tom Hanks and SPR.

Seriously though, it gets fucking annoying. You can see it in all their eyes: "I am Winters, I am Winters....."

If you liked BoB, you have to watch Generation Kill.
The intellectual journey that had began with Copernicus displacing humans from the centre of the Universe and continued with Darwin’s insistence that humans are merely modified monkeys has finally focused in on the very essence of life. And there was nothing special about it. The double helix is an elegant structure, but its message is downright prosaic: life is simply a matter of chemistry.

Yeah, I have heard different reviews of that show and am, personally, a bit leery of watching it.

    BLASPHEMY! I will END you!

I was a fan of Lipton, and not just because I saw Donnie Wahlberg in concert as a kid.

I can imagine it does get annoying. On the one hand, its good that people understand the reality of what they went through. On the other hand, they certainly weren't the only ones who went through it.
Which is one of the reasons I am looking forward to Pacific.

I decided to join the Marines just before SPR was released (well, maybe a bit over a year before). I remember my dad taking me to see it saying something like "If this is what you want to do, you might as well get a glimpse of what it may be like".

I am looking forward to Pacific as well. Wonder if Chesty will make an apearance. EDIT: Looks like he will. Standby for the story of a warrior-god.

I did, yes. Parts anyway. Honestly I wasn't that impressed by it.

I liked Rome. The Spartacus show just has really really crappy graphics, and is it necessary to have every fight scene in slow motion?
