Talking The two best programs on television, pound for pound!

I think most people would agree television is about 90% waste material, pure crap polluting the minds of our young.

The two best overall programs are:

1./ Glen Beck Program, daily on Fox News.

2./ Imus in the Morning on Fox Business Network daily.

The Beck program is the perfect program to begin the long overhaul of what we loosely call our history, as reported in the last 50 years or so by a liberal media, and a university system saturated with liberals and their revisionist accounts of what America is all about. This program, 1 hour each day will teach you more about our country and what is going on in it than anything on television. There are many here in this forum, both intellectuals and pseudo-intellectuals who rant and rave about the power of education. I agree, and this program is absolutely the best hour on television if you're interested, not in what some liberal "professor" teaches as our history, but what the other half of the story is, the half that liberals always fail to report. It's the best class I've ever taken and it's free on television every day.

The other is Imus in the Morning. Laughter being the medicine that brings us all together, this program has it all. You can watch this program for an hour or two and be up to speed on everything, sports, politics, entertainment, current events, the whole enchilada, and all while laughing your ass off. And of all the programs on television, Imus is clearly about as middle of the road politically as you'll find. He hammers everyone, even though I think he's secretly liberal.

If I'm not watching a football game, LSU sports, NASCAR race, NCIS, NCIS Los Angeles or Ghost Whisperer, then the t.v. usually isn't on. I don't get into talking heads and I definitely can't stand Imus.

I don't know if you'd call either of these "talking heads" in the traditional sense. But I would have been amazed if you had agreed with anything I said on any topic, ever. Imus himself is a wretched individual, I'll give you that, but he's surrounded by informed funny people and you could learn a lot from that program, all while have a good laugh. Nascar's good too I suppose, you don't learn much from that do you?

I don't really like watching men cry.
First they came for the mimes, and I did not speak out, because I was a mime.

My late husband watched Imus while I buried my head in the newspaper because Imus just got on my nerves. I've never watched Beck so I don't know if I would like him or not...I know that a few here have accused me of using his talking points so who knows, maybe I would like him.

When I really want to watch something educational, I'll watch the History Channel, PBS, National Geographic, etc. The other shows I watch are for entertainment purposes only.

Yea, I hear ya. For me, I find that a lot of things like History Channel and Nat/Geo have a lot of the same slants as today's campus. That's why I feel Beck is a breath of fresh air. To each his own, eh?

My campus didn't have much slant. Which was nice when walking to class, but it sucked when I wanted to go sledding.

Burn Notice. Awesome. Dollhouse was one of my favorites. Canceled of course. How I Met Your Mother is easily the best comedy since Friends.
