Vice Guide to North Korea 1 of 3 - The Vice Guide to Travel | VBS.TV
This is a three part series detailing an American's recent 'visit' to North Korea. It's quite different from other documentaries on North Korea, mostly because the guy has a good sense of humor and they tend to keep the cameras rolling even when their North Korean minders start getting pissed at them and threaten them with jail.
It's certainly worth the watch for its unique look at North Korea and just for pure entertainment value. Parts two and three can be found here:

"Finding the occasional straw of truth awash in a great ocean of confusion and bamboozle requires intelligence, vigilance, dedication and courage. But if we don't practice these tough habits of thought, we cannot hope to solve the truly serious problems that face us -- and we risk becoming a nation of suckers, up for grabs by the next charlatan who comes along." -Carl Sagan

Oh, so true.
There's this part of me that wants to give 10,000 North Koreans a free week-long vacation somewhere outside of NK without any government supervison. Those poor people really buy into the propoganda they're fed, and they have no other source for what life is really like outside of the country.
It's horrifying on so many levels.

someone posted this video on another site i visit and that was what everyone said as well. the north korean girls (who were kinda hot actually) looked genuinely uncomfortable and disturbed during that song. i also enjoyed his impression of what his guide looked like when he finally got to smoke a cigarette.

Ah, I know. She'd probably destroy me. When I was in language school I'd go to the recreation center and play the Asian instructors fairly often. They could be like 70 years old and they'd still be Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon on the table. Fortunately I was good enough that they could enjoy playing me and I wouldn't make a complete ass of myself.
