I don't agree with the Big Ben suspension

Does anybody else see the danger of suspending players that haven't been convicted of anything? If accusations can get Ben Roethlisberger a 6 game suspension we all better watch out.

On the other side of the coin, when Ricky Williams wanted to quit the NFL so he could live his life in peace as a stoner, the NFL took all of his money back.

I really like watching football but am strongly considering boycotting this league.

    Your thoughts?

Depends completely on how their contracts read, and, not having read them, how can anyone make a comparison?

My thoughts are that the NFL can do whatever it pleases.
First they came for the mimes, and I did not speak out, because I was a mime.

If you have the right team of lawyers you can read it however you want.

I just don't see how accusations by a young woman are enough. They didn't even take him to trial.

Actually, over a relatively short time span, there have been four accusers, and their stories have been substantially similar.

I was reading about the one in Georgia and allegedly these girls were talking to Willie Colon (another Steelers player) all night trying to meet Ben. The girl he allegedly raped was wearing a T-Shirt with DTF on it. Colon stated that she told him DTF was her nickname and it meant "Down To Fuck".

There's two sides to every story and if he raped her I wouldn't care if he went away for life. However, I don't agree with the stance the NFL took for accusations that didn't even amount to a trial.

Sorry, "wanting to meet" and a t-shirt are not consent.

On the other, other hand, none of this means shit. Witness:

Lennard Little - DUI, killed people, served time in the off season... still playing.

Micheal Vic - WOOF! served time, back playing.

And don't even think about the NBA... a work-release program for the tall, urban male.

Didn't say it was, I'm just basing my opinion off of the opinion of the DA. Not enough evidence to take to trial.

I don't have any sympathy for rapists, I do have sympathy for those that were not convicted of any crime.
