Have you ever tried it with olives? They really cut through the sweetness, and break it up a bit when you nibble on them. Gin and tonic is a really sweet drink, and lime doesn't help that much.
But throw in an olive and you have a well balanced, delicious, wholesome meal of a drink.

Nah, I don't like olives so I avoid them in my drinks. You want a wholesome meal of a drink...my Bloody Marys are what you need! I use spiced green beans and olives instead of celery...my customers loved them.
