My little laptop that I have used for quite some time went belly up last week. I have an HP PC in my office downstairs which I haven't really used much because the laptop was more convenient. But I haven't been able to do a successful recover on the laptop so I'm stuck with the big one.
With all my computers to date I have been able to have multiple applications of my web browser going just by clicking the icon. It would always open another application. This one does not do that and it seems the only way I can have multiple applications of it is to click on a link to open in a separate window. This is a REAL pain in the ass.
Does anyone know how to get multiple applications of the web browser in a more convenient way than this?

Use firefox, then go to the firefox extensions site and download "new tab king"...
Your laptop went belly up...hmm...you have a CD burner? If so download ubuntu image file and burn it...install it...you will never go back to windows, guarantee it.
