Should always be concerned about Communists using idiots like Lenin and Stalin and Hitler did.

Yes, there are segments of OWS that are a little scary. But short of an outright revolution, there is no way they will come to power because the vast majority of the electorate---even if they may not be as informed as they ought to be, they do at least have their heads screwed on right.

The equating of the Tea Party and the OWS crowd is strained to say the least. I will give you one comparison: they both protest stuff and that’s about it.

The left tries to marginalize the Tea Party using inflamatory rhetoric and charges of racism and the right returns the favor by doing the same with the OWS protests.

    And the beat goes on.....

I think it goes further than that - they're both pissed at the government, they both think it's time to change the status quo, etc.

    You know what's absolutely classic?

If you were to look up "bigotry" in the dictionary and find a link to this thread, it would be because damn near every comment that anyone has made in this thread is bigoted (note: not racist, or prejudice, or hateful, but bigoted).

Bunch of bigots arguing about bigotry.

"All she has is the same first name. The only descriptions that match are 'Teresa' and 'black female,'" Culpepper's attorney, Ashleigh Merchant told The Lookout. Culpepper, who is 47, didn't have the same address, birth date, height, or weight as the Teresa who was supposed to be arrested.

WTSB managed to find a woman who says she is the Teresa wanted by police in the assault. She says she has not been arrested.

Atlanta police have reportedly started an internal investigation into Culpepper's detention. Culpepper's attorney told the station that the city must either settle or face a lawsuit

Yeah! Thank you for providing links to an obscure case that somehow proves there is racism, it’s systemic, and it’s nation-wide, and not a one-off incident of idiot cops. I’ve lived in Atlanta and if there is any racism, it wouldn’t be against black people, I assure you.

So you can explain arresting a person based upon race and first name? Upon what rationality?

Are you saying there isn't nationwide racism?

add: I lived in Georgia and Florida and I've seen plenty o racism.

    Dictionary.com…

    big•ot•ry
1.stubborn and complete intolerance of any creed, belief, or opinion that differs from one's own.
2.the actions, beliefs, prejudices, etc., of a bigot.

I actually come here to hear different opinions. And for someone to say that I’m not open to other opinions is, well bigotry. So you are a bigot arguing about people you consider bigots arguing about people they consider bigots, and so on. I guess I need to go back to dictionary.com to find a polite way to say what I feel. (Which isn’t nice).

    Beyond Classic.

Sure, but that's basically just saying what Amielle said. They both are protesting the status quo. OWS, however, is a manufactured protest group -- which, don't get me wrong, is fine, but I'm just pointing it out. It's basically the usual "rent-a-mob" that the left uses. Also, the Tea Party is protesting the government taking property away from citizens. OWS is protesting the government not giving them enough. The Tea Party is a bunch of people who just want to be left alone. OWS is a bunch of people who can't survive on their own and are basically pan-handling on a larger scale.

Hey folks, there are bigots in all movements. Let's not label a movement bigoted just because a few of their members are bigots.
