I voted all green for local elections, including gubernatorial and voted Democrat for House Rep.
Why abandon your principles for the House race? Clearly your one of those pragmatic sellouts that is destroying our system! *grin*

Me too! I timed it on my watch, from the time I walked through the school gates, till I walked back out: 3 minutes, 55 seconds.

Surely you're joking about containing your excitement ? Are there people that get excited over such things ?

Well, I guess politics IS getting more and more like a trip to the zoo, so, well, nevermind

Took me about 15-20 minutes, most of which was spent standing in a not-moving line because the octagenarian poll workers looked like they were terrified each time they had to touch the newfangled votin' 'quipment!

Me neither. It was the easiest voting experience I've ever had.
The polling place happens to be in the apartment complex we just moved to. I just walked half a block up the street, went in, went out and was back home in ten minutes.

Re: Holy Crap Y'all, Election Day EEEEEE!!!!!

BIG turnout in Virginia. Our neighborhood elementary school was where we voted. Don't know if it was typical or not for election day, but the line was out the door ... and this with a cold drizzle coming down. I guess it took us maybe 45 minutes - not bad.

Voted straight Democratic, or course.
