Holy Crap Y'all, Election Day EEEEEE!!!!!

Sorry I just can't contain my excitement, anyway I want to use our board for a little turnout poll and discussion of results though I am sure there will be a ton of these sprouted all day.

I'm curious too. I'm wondering who pulled a straight ticket (D or R) and who voted for a split ticket.

Re: Holy Crap Y'all, Election Day EEEEEE!!!!!

I'll be voting for a US Representative today, Bobby Jindal (R), who will more than likely win. He's got a solid track record and has worked hard for those of us affected by Katrina.

Everything else on my ballot is state constitutional amendments. I haven't bother to read who's backing what because I prefer to make my own decisions.

Done and done.

Split ticket:
3 Reps,
2 Dems,
and 1 Abstension (some sort of city council race I was unfamiliar with)

Re: Holy Crap Y'all, Election Day EEEEEE!!!!!

And I'm back, Course when it comes to National politics. it is a wasted vote ---both my senator (Feinstein -DEM) and representative (Jerry Lewis -REP) are esconched into office ---apparently on a permanent basis.,

I have been voting against Lewis every time for the past four elections.

Re: Holy Crap Y'all, Election Day EEEEEE!!!!!

Independent, more to the right. I voted Dem for governor and US Rep, and by and large Republican for local politicians. I also voted against a ban on 50 caliber weapons, against a minimum wage raise, and against the immediate withdrawal of guard troops from Iraq.

Im excited too. The great thing about this country and voting is that when its over, its over. Yap all we want, at the end of the day, or when the lawayers are done, someone wins and someone loses. I voted independant-right.

Couldnt help but notice the poll is leaning heavily to the right so far. Is that because dems are all talk, but in private they know Repubs rule?
