Likely Presidential Candidates

Figured this thread needs revision since so many candidates on the older thread are dropping out. I've put up 16 "likely Presidential Candidates", 8 Democrats, 8 Republicans. Who is your pick for the next President?

I thought some time ago that Al Gore might just get in the race, but he is clearly out of politics for the forseeable future. You'll notice that Tom Daschle, Mark Warner, Evan Bayh, Russ Feingold, Joe Lieberman, George Allen, Bill Frist, Rick Santorum, Jeb Bush, Condoleeza Rice, and Colin Powell are not on the list. That's either because they've announced their intention not to run for President, or that they suit the "draft" candidate scenario which is getting into hypotheticals that I don't want to deal with here.

Looking at the list, I'm not so sure yet who I'd like to see on either side, or what my "dream ticket" is yet, but I'd like to find out your picks.

There's some talk that Mark Warner may get back into it.

The people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is to tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same in every country.
