Does the word/term "lies and spins" mean anything to you? I have no problem with anyone, even vets, being challenged by facts. But swift boat provides lies.

Facts:
1) Patrick Runyon, part of the Swiftboat campaign, signed a statement indicating his boat did not take gunfire. He later recanted his statement and said they were indeed fired upon by enemies. "It was the scariest night of my life," said Runyon.

2) Elliot, a commender who praised Kerry during the war, issued an affidavit in 2004 criticizing Kerry. Elliot wrote that Kerry shot a wounded and fleeting vietcon in the back, contradicting eyewitnesses report that Kerry shot and killed an enemy holding a deadly weapon face to face. Elliot admitted he was not present during the shooting and did not offer an explanation why he questioned Kerry's heriocs. Elliot later recanted his statements and said his affidavit is not factual, saying, "I knew it was wrong." Elliot later recanted again and said his first affidavit is right and he regretted apologizing for it. Can you say flip-flopper?

3) Larry Thurlow, a swift boat vet, signed a statement saying his and Kerry's boat were not fired upon. He accused Kerry of fabrication. Military records containing a report written by Thurlow during the war shows that they were fired upon. In that report, Thurlow praised John Kerry for risking his life to help fellow soldiers "despite enemy bullets flying about him."

It breaks my heart to see republicans lowering themselves to the level of the democrats. They lose their edge and turn off Christian standards.
They should have known that the good saw through these media and liberal organizations attacking president Bush when he announced his candidacy against al-gore. When it escalated on Kerry running (The guy reminds me of that tree on the “Wizard of Oz” that threw apples at Dorothy.) private conservative groups tried to counter but only pissed off president Bush and other moral Americans.
