I was replying to Traveler with that, because he said he never votes.

But yes, I know that you can register as anything you like.

I would love to see Newt run.

He's polling at about 9%.

Re: 2008 Presidential Republican Primary

It hardly matters who the republicans run, they have no chance of winning.

Their leading candidate is an pro-abortion ex-MAYOR, who wanted to move HIS WIFE out so he could move his MISTRESS in, and who lived with two gays for a while.

I'm pro-abortion and pro-gay rights .. however, the Republican Party and their loyalist are decidedly not.

And he's the best chance they have.

By 2008, you'll be running to the polls shouting, "Rudy Rudy" and kissing his ass like other republicans.

Newt is a joke and so is every other social-conservative trying to be president .. oh wait .. there aren't anymore social-conservatives dumb enough to even think they have a chance of winning.

Perhaps Newt should turn out the light on social-conservatism after his embarassing attempt.

Hagel has some qualities that make him attractive, especially his new-found independence and his disclosure that the Bush Administration wanted the 2002 war resolution to allow them to attack any nation in the middle east, but I think that he'll ultimately be derailed by his electronic voting gaffe, initial support for the war, and republicans that don't like him.

Of course, he should have informed the American people that Bush was gunning for the entire region back when the resolution was introduced.

If I had to vote for a republican, it would be Ron Paul.

Hillary vs Paul .. I'd vote for Paul.

Re: 2008 Presidential Republican Primary

Roosevelt and to a lesser extent Taft were liberal Republicans.
