Re: algore on GW

I love Al Gore, but I heard him on the radio talking gw while taking a long drive last week. I had to change the channel, I was starting to nod off. Please don't convince him to run for president, eco-people. If the Dems win in '08 we can start a new agency to address global warming, and Al can head it up.

Re: algore on GW

The sad part is, if Al Gore was the President, there would be no 911 because Clark would not have tolerated training the terrorists in Floridaand the Democrats would be istening to David Halberstam, so no American lives would have been lost in Iraq.

And even if 9/11 did happen on Gore's watch, there would still be no Iraq war, because he isn't part of the neocon crowd that's been planning to invade Iraq for the past 20 years.

Re: algore on GW

I did not find al Gore's movie convincing.

I'm a non-believer in global warming caused by humans.

It would be much better to spend the money on real enviromental issues, health care, education and birth control around the world.

The congress, including and especially the democrats, is just as responsible for the Iraq war as the President is.

Not a chance. Remember, he's the decider and the commander guy.

Congress has the sole authority to declare war.

The guy who makes the decisions to send troops somewhere has the ultimate responsibility.

That would be congress. Only congress has the authority to send our troops to war. They are at least as responsible as President Bush for our being in Iraq.

Yes Donkey I am serious. I am not a rabid supporter of President Bush, though I do consider myself to be a conservative, but fact is fact. And the fact is that Congress is just as responsible as the President, in all cases, for sending troops to war. This isn't a matter of opinion.
