I agree. A lot of the fuss about Romney's membership in the LDS is coming from the Christian Right. It's very hypocritical.

Re: Mitt Romney and the fact that he is a mormon

I read somewhere (I can't remember where) that Romney was a Mormon as they only let people go that far towards being full Christians in the state of MA which made me laugh i must admit.

No kidding! My friend and I were drooling over those guys! We gave them massages for rowing the raft all day. But that was all the thrill we got

Re: Mitt Romney and the fact that he is a mormon

The fact that Romney is a Mormon doesn't really make a difference. The fact that he used to be for gay marriage, embryonic stem cell research and gun control and is now suddenly against all those things has me questioning his sincerity.

People can't change their opinions?? Haven't you changed you mind on anything, like gun control, taxes or anything else?

I haven't changed my opinion on taxes at all. I have developed my opinion on the 2nd amendment after learning more on this site. I haven't changed my opinion on stem cells, abortion, or gay marriage like Romney.

What happened to all the right wing flip flop outrage?

Have you guys all flip flopped on flip flops?

Yeah, right.....

Romney just happened to change his opinions on three major issues right as he starts to run for President. Nothing suspicious there.......

Re: Mitt Romney and the fact that he is a mormon

Don't misunderstand, I'm no fan of Romney and am not defending him at all. I can care less about his opinions, as I do not intend to support him. I'm just asking questions if people have ever changed their minds.

Maybe no one cares enough about this guy to waste their time discussing his change on views? Just a guess.

Really, Samantha - I thought you would have known this by now. It's called flip-flopping when a Democrat does it, and changing one's mind when a Republican does it.

A totally false and nonsensical claim:

Quote:
Outside the ballroom at the Omni Shoreham, a man was strolling about in a dolphin costume and a T-shirt declaring "Flip Romney: Just another Flip Flopper From Massachusetts." The porpoise was ready to burst his blowhole: "First he was pro-choice, now magically he's pro-life. First he's for gun control, then he's against it."

Other CPAC attendees handed out full-size yellow Romney flip-flops announcing, "1992: Romney voted for Democrat Paul Tsongas for president." On each chair was a "Romney multiple-choice exam" about gun control, taxes, abortion and gay rights; the answer to each question was "both A and B."
