Giuliani confirms his support for publicly-funded abortions
Looks like he's not gonna be a flip-flopper on abortion. This gives the religious right all the moral values ammo they need to try and mobilize their base against him in the primary. Who woulda thunk that the GOP would be on the brink of nominating an unashamedly pro-abortion presidential candidate? If really does win the nomination, what does that say about the political power of the religious right?

Re: Giuliani confirms his support for publicly-funded abortions
Sounds like an early party sacrifice. McClain's following the party line in attempts to get central party support. They'll pick someone who appeals to all demographics including the religious right. What they need is someone who will campaign on a primary platform of get out of Iraq, the strategy used for Nixon's election. I can't believe my former party affiliation (reformed Republican here, 2003, who still believes in small government and fiscal responsibility) has become so stupid.
