It's too long until the election. He should have taken a wait and see aproach on the war. If the war goes further south, McCain's chances go south as well.

If he changes his stance now or before the election, he will look like the king of all flip-floppers.

By the way, what's with McCain announcing his candidacy on three seperate occasions like it's the first time anyone knew about it?

Maybe it will be like Vietnam, when everyone was against the war, but then that ended and everyone supported the war, we increased our troop levels and won a great victory, because of that Candidate that supported the War and won, what was his name?

No, did you see his face as he sat wiith his wife when he was asked yesterday, "If needed would you be prepared to serve a second term?"

He should have taken his standard Beach Boys approach - just looked at his wife and sang...."Don't Worry Baby".
