Last night's debate.

Did anybody watch the Democrat debate last night? I didn't, I was partying with my mom. From what I heard they actually had a little war-related tiff?

Yeah, I watched it on the Internet today. It wasn't really that exciting. They all tried to be the one who is against the war most and wants to get the troops home more than any other of the candidates.

Re: Last night's debate.

Wolf Blitzer is a dork.

He couldn't run the debate properly.

Obama and Clinton got 16 and 15 minutes of speaking time.. While Gravel and Kucinich got 8 and 5 respectively.

All candidates are supposed to receive equal time. The format and the enforcement of debate rules was laughable.

I think Edwards gained some points for being fiesty and no one else (except the usual suspects - Kucinich and Gravel) went out on a limb at all on any topic.

Re: Last night's debate.

Clinton messed up big time and said that the US is more safe today than before 9/11. Can you believe that? More safe as a result of Bush's actions. Shes gonna pay for that comment let me tell you. Shes a dork and has absolutely no convictions of her own. Obama is our man.

I actually think it´s a good idea to acknowledge some of your opponents results (even if she actually agrees or not). I think people are fed up with the constant ranting and bitching from both sides about the other side and, as such, it seems like a good strategy to not constantly bitch and moan, but instead try to look at the issues with an analytical mind, thus appearing more balanced.

Just my two cents...

I think she goes on that silly theory that we haven't been attacked since when we got hit 5 times in 7 years before then...stupid isn't it?

Why am i defending Hillary?

So it'll get her a bit in the primaries, if that. All it needs is for slick to back her up and say yeah we are safer, it was his damn administration that was before Bush's so i'd think the voters would leave it at that. In the general however that will help her a lot more...most Americans can see for themselves that we are doing well and are safe, then again you guys on the left can go around saying "look at all the attacks in Iraq and Afghanistan" and look even bigger idiots (with it being an active Warzone and all); thus you should thank Hillary for giving you a set of talking points when she takes over from Bush as your new enemy (forgetting Al Qaeda and co completely of course as of course we all know Hillary is a lot more scary and its a lot easier to rally the base against her than Osama).

She's trying to be the Pro-Security Candidate while at the same time being Anti-War.

Safer today than after 9/11 is a Republican talking point that like all of the others is a statement that cannot be disproven.

However these stances force Hillary a narrow margin of error with the Public. If her policy contradicts itself, no one's going to buy it. The American people are paying closer attention to this election than any other election for decades, so we're going to see through a lot of the BS.

Democrats dont wanna debate on Fox News. Sounds like Democrats just dont wanna play on the road like Baseball teams have to play the yankees in yankee stadium.
