I'm straining to find the humor in Sen John McCain's retort to this High School student.
Is this the style and temperment the American people want in a Leader ?
Was this John McCain's Maccaca moment ?
this is a non issue

it was said in jest

but i am sure it is cool for people who have no respect for people who serve in the miltary to bash an american hero...........

I believe you are wrong on this issue, just like George Allen called the young man in the crowd, Maccaca was supposedly meant in jest.

How else should this student take McCain's calling him ": an annoyingly stupid or foolish person
: an unlikable person; especially : one who is cruel, rude, or small-minded"

Are we to believe John McCain does not know the meaning behind the words he utters?

Re: “Thanks for the question, you little jerk … you’re drafted.”

So, as we have seen, McCain said it lightheartedly and in jest. Where is the problem again?

How can A Presidential candidate calling a stranger, in public ": an annoyingly stupid or foolish person
: an unlikable person; especially : one who is cruel, rude, or small-minded" be done in jest ?

Now had he said "you young whippersnapper" it would have blown over as a grandfatherly thing to say.

ya but the swiftboaters were actually speaking from their perception and service with a protestor(what he was actually know for) not a war heroe

this dude is a hero, wouldnt vote for him, but he is a hero

the worst part it is coming from people who usually dont serve, and hate the military

To the contrary, being labeled something that I detest is annoying.

If McCain's campaign wasn't already considered dead, then yes, it certainly is now.

Bad joke or just bad attitude, it is a political career killer.

I'd like to see you walk up to a perfect stranger, call him ": an annoyingly stupid or foolish person
: an unlikable person; especially : one who is cruel, rude, or small-minded" and then ask them to support your bid to become President of the United States.

I bet you would get a ton of votes with that approach
