Actually, if you read the OP:

"Is this the style and temperment the American people want in a Leader ?"

My post is clearly relevant. The OP asks if a person with this TEMPERAMENT should be a leader, not if a person WHO DID THIS ONCE should be a leader. Therefore, it is relevant.

I'm sure, in your special little world, you think it's relevant.

Do you think, because he did this once, it equates to him having "this temperament"?

I was addressing the idiotic criticism of McCain, because his comment was clearly said in jest...

Yes, in fact he didn't even make that up. He plagerized it. We were singing "bomb bomb bom iran" when Carter was president and it was even on the radio. It was a parody then, and it is a parody now.

Sorry Steve, if this type of comment were out of character for this guy you would have a point.
Like Sen John Kerry trying to tell a joke, unnatural to his character.
John McCain's like if filled with these type of crass statements and that is where my question comes into play.

Actually, that would be the real world, where the OP is relevant to what I said.

Unless he unnaturally went out of his way to do something about which people might argue, I would say yes.

Parody or not, it marks the point at which McCain's campaign took its biggest nosedive.

I couldn't imagine that any Presidential candidate could be so stupid as to engage in that joke in public. McCain deserved to be run off the stage for that case of very bad judgement given that it is to independents that McCain originally owed his popularity and they are the ones most horrified by all the Iran-warmongering. They abandoned him in droves at that point and his campaign collapsed.

The little jerk comment is just proof that McCain is totally frustrated with his dead end campaign - he so wants to be President and just can't figure out how to do it. His campaign seems like it is already dead.

I think the American public is sick of having a dickhead with ego problems as leader. Electing another dickhead with ego problems is probably not going to happen.

Same applies to Guiliani - another dickhead with ego problems.

Well, if it's already dead, then it's a complete waste of time for you to be pissing yourself over it.

Oh, that's right, you don't feel like you've had a productive day unless you've been partisan...
