Re: Thoughts on Obama

Clinton's latest attacks to erode Obama's campaign firmness have kicked back and now people from different walks of life is questioning her real motive and sincerity and as HRC keeps her assults, Obama's roll is gaining momentum.

Spoiler Warning
As the news about the battle for the Democratic presidential nomination focuses on the increasingly bitter confrontation between Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton, Edwards is fighting for survival. He knows his fate hinges on a strong showing in the Iowa caucuses that are now less than a month away. He will be out of the race if he runs third.

If Edwards fades, supporters of all three candidates agree that his backers are more likely to drift to Obama than to Clinton. Yet if Edwards gains ground, he could push either Clinton or Obama into third place -- crippling one of them.

The Iowa polls suggest that this is Obama's time. Over the weekend, The Des Moines Register released a survey showing the Illinois senator with 28 percent to Clinton's 25 percent and Edwards' 23 percent. Obama was up six points from the paper's last poll, conducted in October. Clinton was down four, and Edwards held steady. A Pew/Associated Press poll released Monday still put Clinton on top, but interviewing for the survey began in early November.

The Clinton camp is clearly worried and the candidate herself is now taking Obama on personally. Addressing reporters in Iowa on Sunday, she spoke of "a big difference between our courage and our convictions, what we believe and what we're willing to fight for."
Sure, it is Barack's time and I just hope this momentum keeps until Iowa primaries, at least. The rest is merely rule of cause and effect.

Racist quotes from 'the messiah's' books-

The quotes below are from Obama's book, "Dreams of My Father";
Although Obama spent various portions of his youth living with his white maternal grandfather and Indonesian stepfather, he vowed that he would "never emulate white men and brown men whose fates didn't speak to my own. It was into my father’s image, the black man, son of Africa, that I’d packed all the attributes I sought in myself, the attributes of Martin and Malcolm, DuBois and Mandela."

This is from "Audacity of Hope";
"There were enough of us on campus to constitute a tribe, and when it came to hanging out many of us chose to function like a tribe, staying close together, traveling in packs," he wrote. "It remained necessary to prove which side you were on, to show your loyalty to the black masses, to strike out and name names."

From "Dreams";
"The emotion between the races could never be pure,” “Even love was tarnished by the desire to find in the other some element that was missing in ourselves. Whether we sought out our demons or salvation, the other race would always remain just that: menacing, alien, and apart."

"There was something about him that made me wary,” Obama wrote. "A little too sure of himself, maybe. And white"

I wonder how many have read his books?
Does this sound like a man who should be the president of America?
The president of blacks AND whites??

Re: Thoughts on Obama

Now Obama is calling students to national service! For past six years we have witnessed how WC team have called young Americans to serve to kill in Iraq and Afghanistan and to be killed in vain, for someone else's fu***ing security and betterment. Now Obama is calling all students to service -- to help Americans in America, to help neighbours, elders, handicapped people... This is a great shift from a blood thirsty government that said, "I want you for the US Army to kill, torture, and rape in someone else's land for someone else's damned security."

So Barack Obama called college students to national service Wednesday, inviting them "to take hold of the future of your country and answer a new call to service to meet the challenges of our new century."

"We need your service, right now, in this moment †our moment †in history," he said.

"I am going to ask you to play your part; ask you to stand up; ask you to put your foot firmly into the current of history," Barack Obama said, adding that sometime in the future they will recall their service "as a moment when your own story and the American story came together, and history bent once more in the direction of justice."

Quote:
Obama Issues Call for Public Service - The Caucus - Politics - New York Times Blog
Senator Barack Obama implored young Americans "to step into the currents of history," by not only supporting his presidential candidacy, but committing to form a new generation of public service.

In a speech here today at Cornell College, Mr. Obama said he would seek to restore America's standing in the world by doubling the size of the Peace Corps, increasing the strength of the Foreign Service and creating a national network – modeled after Craigslist – to connect volunteers to areas of need across the country.

"I won't just ask for your vote as a candidate, I will ask for your service and your active citizenship when I am president of the United States," Mr. Obama said, drawing applause and a standing ovation from hundreds of students and residents of this eastern Iowa town. "This will not be a call issued in one speech or program, this will be a cause of my presidency."

Before presenting his proposals calling for a renewed commitment to national service, Mr. Obama was endorsed by Harris Wofford, a former senator from Pennsylvania who helped form the Peace Corps during his time in the Kennedy administration. As he introduced Mr. Obama to the crowd, Mr. Wofford said he had not felt as inspired "since the days of John Kennedy, Bobby Kennedy and Martin Luther King."
This is better for young Americans than being part of a bloody war, a divisive politics, a decaying social fabric.

Re: Thoughts on Obama

I think Obama should push her every time she says she has the ‘experience’...what experience? Lets look at this- she was a first lady, for 8 years ..okay, she authored a health care plan that didn’t quite garner sppt. lets say.....she’s been a senator for 6 years...okay....looking at our history regards electing senators ( there have been 2) I’d say her experience needs to be made visible.....what did she do, as first lady that provides a basis for a claim of experience when running for president? EVERY senator can have their record scrutinized easily....what else is there?

How would you feel if the decomposed body was your mom/son/daughter, who was unfairly targeted because some dumb rancher shot him thinking he committed a whole bunch of crimes, due to his ethnicity, when in reality, he did nothing wrong?

Re: Thoughts on Obama

Barack Obama lists his top priorities when he becomes president:

"My top priority as president will be ending this war in Iraq, a war that should have never been authorized and never been waged. In doing so, I will work to keep our country safe from terrorists and to restore American credibility around the world. Providing universal health care to the 47 million Americans who currently do not have it will be another top priority of my administration, as will combating global warming and putting our country on the path toward energy independence. But all of the issues that I have focused on in this campaign -- whether it's creating a 21st century education system and fighting poverty or achieving comprehensive immigration reform and strengthening our economy -- are vitally important and must be prioritized by the next president. And all of these issues share one thing in common: in order to fully address them, we have to do more than change political parties. We have to fundamentally change our politics and transform the way business is done in Washington."

Good judgement or experience?

Experience without good judgement creates more GWB's. HRC's poor judgement makes her a dangerously experienced candidate. Obama's good judgement and "enough" experience make him more electable.

Re: Thoughts on Obama

An evil ideology is spreading through America like a cancer, and the Christian and the Jewish religion is criticized and made fun of...slowly being wiped away.
We dare not speak one word against Islam for we are called racists and bigots- yet the Koran is the most racist and bigoted book ever printed.
A Muslim man comes out of nowhere. Little is known about him or his past- only what he chooses to tell us.
And we dare not ask, for we are called racists and bigots.
He is running for president of the United States..
He is charismic and articulate and promises great things.
Great throngs of people are enthralled and follow without question...

Frightening, isn't it?

Re: Thoughts on Obama

What do you think of vociferous Religionists who claim we need "under God" in the pledge and can't follow ten simple laws known as commandments? I think we should hold the neo-conservatives to their pledge and have them repeal all but ten laws. Which laws do you think they would actually want on the books?

Re: Thoughts on Obama

At this stage of the race, endorsments are of great importance to garner more support from undecided voters. And Obama has two crucial endorsments:

Rep. Carol Shea-Porter (D-NH) -- who won a remarkable upset victory in 2006helping to secure a Democratic majority in Congress -- will endorse Obama, reports the Manchester Union-Leader.

And Barbara Lee (D-CA) -- one of Congress' most outspoken and concistent critics of the Iraq war -- is also throwing her support behind Barack.

They say there are more on these endorsments soon.

Great.

Do Not read Huffington Post...

She is a fake liberal. She is one of those Republicans in fake liberal clothing.

Remember when she used to attack the Clintons, back when she was on the Right?

Now she is doing everything to get Hillary elected - look at this muck on

Huffington Post ...

December 11, 2007

The Clinton campaign email did not spell out Obama's "shortcomings, inconsistencies or misstatements," but other Democratic activists have quietly received messages from Clinton allies pointing in the likely direction. Those messages provided a link to an Iowa Independent story by Douglas Burns headlined "The Politics Of Obama's Past Cocaine Use."
