hmm. Likely either a "win at all costs" Hillary surrogate.... or a Republican supporter who is also racist.

To continue to spew stuff that you know is a lie can only be justified by an underhanded motive.

Re: Thoughts on Obama

Cyberella and the like are an ardent group of red hot racists who are in disguise of Islamophopic dung beetles. They are well aware of the fact that there is no Muslim conspiracy in America. But, as it would not seem "chic" to emerge as a group of Black-phobic morons, they prefer to wrap their racism in a more preferable rhetoric: Islamophobia. But you know, THE UNITED STATES ARMY has DEBUNKED all these lies and slanders leveled at Obama:

"The military has warned soldiers not to use official computers to forward a chain e-mail that falsely accuses Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama of being a Muslim who attended a radical Muslim school, saying distribution of the information is a violation of Army regulations and constitutes unlawful political activity.

more stories like thisThe memorandum, dated Thursday, went out after the discredited claims about Obama's background were sent from an Army computer to what appear to be thousands of Army personnel worldwide.

"Currently there is a Chain Email floating around with the Subject line: 'Who is Barack Obama,' " states the official warning, which was sent to all personnel who work for Army Medical Command, based in Fort Sam Houston, Texas. "Like virtually all chain e-mails this one is false."

Further, the official warning adds, distributing the e-mail using military computers is a violation of several Army regulations that state that government communications equipment must be used only for official purposes and that their misuse could be punished under the Uniform Code of Military Justice.

Moreover, Army personnel were told that the political nature of the e-mail constitutes a violation of separate regulations that explicitly bar the military from engaging in any political activities while on duty, saying "the subject email falls under the realm of prohibited political activity."

A copy of the reprimand, which came from information technology managers at Army Medical Command, was obtained by the Globe.

The author of the message, reached by the Globe yesterday, confirmed its content.

One of the relevant regulations states that uniformed or civilian Defense Department employees cannot, among other things, "knowingly solicit or discourage the political activity of any person who has business with DoD; engage in political activity while on duty; and engage in political activity while in any Federal workplace."

The controversial e-mail that spreads the falsehoods about Obama's background begins by saying that this is "something that should be considered in your choice" for president.

Obama's biological father was raised a Muslim in Kenya, but Obama met him only once and there is no evidence he was a radical. Obama later had a stepfather who was a practicing Muslim in Indonesia, but he divorced his mother after three years and Obama never attended a radical Muslim school while he lived there.

Obama is a practicing Christian in the United Church of Christ and was sworn in as a US senator with a Bible, not a Koran, as asserted by the bogus e-mail.

The Army, for its part, felt the need to remind personnel that the charges are baseless and to alert them to be on the lookout for similar attacks in the coming months.
Soldiers warned not to forward bogus chain e-mail about Obama - The Boston Globe

Slap in the face, Cyberella?

I keep hoping Galaxina will show up with an opposing viewpoint. She is even welcome to show off in a minimicro or a peekaboo.

Re: Thoughts on Obama

Obama hate groups/radicals are invading the discussion boards trying to refute the true facts. They are trying to wipe out all criticism of Obama. Their tactics are to invade in mass under multiple names with "Obama letters", muddy the waters with irrelevelant facts and discussions. They are vicious and resort to name calling, ridiculous accusations and false information.
The power behind this man is truly, truly frightening.
I ask you to just study the facts that I have presented. Study the links. Educate yourself.

Re: Thoughts on Obama

Cyberella is the hottest racist ever!

Obama's dad was a muslim, yes, but Obama himself has never been a muslim.

What's he going to do, get Oprah to recommend the Koran as a monthly favorite? Bullshit, man. Americans don't even read anymore anyway, so we shouldn't be worrying about this ridiculous stuff.

I have to admit that you would look nice in a minimicro or peekaboo, but you are no Galaxina.

Do you have anything more credible than a religious test?

Article 6.

All Debts contracted and Engagements entered into, before the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be as valid against the United States under this Constitution, as under the Confederation.

This Constitution, and the Laws of the United States which shall be made in Pursuance thereof; and all Treaties made, or which shall be made, under the Authority of the United States, shall be the supreme Law of the Land; and the Judges in every State shall be bound thereby, any Thing in the Constitution or Laws of any State to the Contrary notwithstanding.

The Senators and Representatives before mentioned, and the Members of the several State Legislatures, and all executive and judicial Officers, both of the United States and of the several States, shall be bound by Oath or Affirmation, to support this Constitution; but no religious Test shall ever be required as a Qualification to any Office or public Trust under the United States.

Cyber-hater needs to read the Constitution but I don't think she ever reads anything but ideologically prepared lie and smear tactics.

Poor girl. We shall overcome you and the like.

Re: Thoughts on Obama

I don't know much about your country and your values, but this may be useful to all. I read elsewhere (see link below) the following:

"... Barack Obama towers as the most far left progressive person running for president. And this isn’t the spin of some enthusiastic supporter (in fact I’ve been leaning a bit towards Edwards since Michael Moore praised him), this is the objective assessment of the prestigious and authoritative National Journal which examined the totality of each candidates actual votes in three broad areas: Social issues, economic issues, and foreign policy issues. When life time scores were compiled by the New York Times political blog, amazingly Obama towered over even ultra progressive Kucinich.

Senator Barack Obama......................84. 3
Representative Dennis Kucinich........79.4
Senator Christopher J. Dodd .............79.2
Senator Hiliary Rodham Clinton ......78.8
Senator Joseph R. Biden, Jr...............76.8

Re: Thoughts on Obama

As a research student studying political science, we get told often by our professors that Barack Obama would win this election hands down if he were a white man. But from all the discussions and forums I've seen on the subject on the internet, people seem to be saying that his skin color is NOT an issue. So, I've decided to run a little experiment here and I want to know, how many of you think that it would make a difference to your vote if Barack Obama was white?

I created a poll where you can vote anonymously if you want, so don't worry, you can answer honestly. The results are pretty surprising, so check them out

If Barack Obama were white...

I'm not sure that poll can accurately gauge the sentiment of Obama supporters/opposers. For example, I chose "I'd be less likely to vote for him" because, on a scale of about 1-100, I think the positive message of progress that would be sent to the world by electing an African-American president is worth about 2 points. Therefore, I'd be 2% less likely to vote for him if he was white.

You pose a reasonable question, but please don't try to use those statistics to suggest that people are only voting for Obama because he is black, or only not voting for Obama because he is black.

What I find funny is that I keep hearing people talk about Obama (and Hillary) being semi-conservative...

Obama's Conservative Economists
Obama the Conservative
Archconservative Sides With Democrat
A Look at Barack Obama: The Investor

Quote:
In Barack Obama versus Hillary Clinton, we've basically got Kennedy-Nixon redux, and I mean that in the most negative possible sense for both of them -- a pair of superficial, posturing conservatives selling highly similar political packages using different emotional strategies. Obama is selling free trade and employer-based health care and an unclear Iraqi exit strategy using looks, charisma and optimism, while Hillary is selling much the same using hard, cold reality, "prose not poetry," managerial competence over "vision." Hillary Clinton: The New Nixon (Rolling Stone Magazine)
It has almost gotten to the point where people just want to label everyone either "liberal" or "conservative," and if they don't fit their own standards of one of those labels, they force the other label on them.

It's getting quite pathetic.
