Re: Thoughts on Obama

Cyberlla your attacks are ludicrous and, I might add, not working with the American people.

1. In terms of military technology the U.S. overspends the rest of the world by huge amounts. And to what end. No level of advanced weapons systems would have changed the policy in Iraq. The Bush Administration had the most technologically advanced invasion in world history and then they proceeded to bungle the occupation and reconstruction of Iraq. So when Barack says hes going to decrease spending on advanced weapons, he's right. Its a waste of money and only makes defense contractors wealthy.

2. Barack did not say he would get rid of all the U.S. nuclear weapons. He said that he would not develop new nuclear weapons. And thank goodness! Cause the U.S. has a TON of nukes right now, we don't need mroe nukes. How can a nation need more than a dozen nuclear weapons. If you are using more than a dozen nuclear weapons then the world is pretty much over isn't it? So what exactly are we doing with all those nukes? How does it help us? How does it make the world safer?

So yeah, as always with Obama opponents. The only way to make an argument against him is to lie. You can't deal with his actual positions or reality because he makes too much logical sense.

This is somebody been in Congress for 26 years, who put seven of the most powerful Washington lobbyists in charge of his campaign. And now he tells us that he’s the one who’s gonna take on the old boys' network,” he said. “In the McCain campaign that’s called a staff meeting!- Obama, 9/17/2008

Maybe you should list us some accomplishments of the United Nations, because I sure can't think of any.
How does your view account for how much the US has done in the same time period?

Do you think you would have the same view, if the UN had the military budget of the US?

I think you may be exaggerating a little bit. How much extra capability to blow up the world do we really need, if we can get it right the first time?

Maybe it is better than sending the American soldiers overseas without proper equipment.

I would prefer our 4000+ soldiers alive now.

Your world consists of dead American soldiers and burned, raped, maimed civilians, right?

Just a point for you to consider: the US could cut it's "defence" (an oxymoron if ever there was one) budget in half (ie 50%) and it would still be the largest defence budget in the world. As it currently stands, the annual US defence budget is bigger than EVERY other country on Earth (inc Russia, Britian & China) combined!! There's a figure to think about. I somehow seriously doubt that a reduction in defence spending is going to leave the US in a dangerous position.

A reduction in defence spending will merely leave big defence contractors with a less watery payroll.

McCain closeseness to the lobbyists signals that, if he is elected to the office, military spending will go on skyrocketing yet leave soldiers without enough equipment.

Re: Thoughts on Obama

Obama, already looking for ways to go back on his promises.

Mr. Obama was notably noncommittal about his previous proposal to limit campaign spending to $85 million in Tuesday’s Democratic debate, indicating that he would add new conditions, especially on spending by independent groups, to his previous pledges to accept the deal.

New conditions? Yuuup, now there's a guy you can trust.

I am sure your right, we do spend more on defense than any other country. However, there is no way to know this definatively because many of the largest spenders such as China do not have the reporting standards that we do. It's impossible to know exactly how much these governments are spending, all you can hope for are estimates.

I think a state senator could get some chicks that look really good in a mini-micro or a peekaboo to do it. Why would he go for some guy?

Maybe because he is morally bankrupt and can only talk a good game?

What are we now making excuses for that failed institution?

The problem with the UN is that it's filled primarially with Liberal whacko's who have a relativistic world view where absolute truth is non extistent. Therefore the boundries between good and evil, right and wrong are always changing.

This accusation is so blatantly baseless that it hasn't even been picked up and promoted by those that would benefit most from its exposure. I could make a YouTube video in seconds that claims I performed cunnlingus on Hillary Clinton but it doesn't make it even remotely true.
