Re: Thoughts on Obama

I think Obama can use race, to a certain extent, to bolster his credibility for certain issues. Blacks still face economic hurdles in our society that have yet to be solved by either party to date.

The Democrats still have not completely ended welfare, as we know it, in a market friendly manner that can eventually reduce our tax burden while eliminating official poverty in the process.

A liar. That's enough in my book.

A liar. The same criteria applies to both.
As far as being a "Christ lover" and bearing all that false witness, I think REAL Christians will find fault with both as well.

Re: Thoughts on Obama

Obama's core premise for electability is his ability to appeal to all ethnic groups, all ages, all socioeconomic classes.

This is WHAT the Clintons are attacking.

They are using the race card because it's the easiest--it's most visible and has been used many times before (with success, regrettably).

The campaign needs to say, "There she goes again dividing the electorat." And leave it like that.

The more you say race, the more people repeat it, the stronger the case becomes.

I agree completely with Ferraro. I don't think she was being racist or mean-spirited in any way when she made that observation. While it is true that not all Blacks vote for Obama, there are surely enough to validate her statement.

Obama is also correct when he says his campaign crosses all racial lines. It's just another sad example of the MSM smelling a little fresh meat to throw to the politically correct.

Sorry to hear that. The second part. Isn't there a way for you to look more mildly at Barack?

Ferraro might not have been fried on her own words unless she wouldn't have voiced her ideas standing beside Clinton. With Hillary beside her, Ferraro's words are more than a sociological observation.

Olbermann is going totally nuts over the Ferraro comments and the comments by Bill Clinton. I still don't see why.

To be honest, I'm not sure if you're being sarcastic or not. But, and especially when it is for personal or political gain, a liar is a liar. It doesn't make a difference if it's Obama, Clinton, McCain or any other politician doing it, it's WRONG.

I was serious. I don't remember Barack telling lies about the war in Iraq. He said what he meant and he meant what he said. Just unlike Clinton.

Agreed. It might not have even been an issue if she wasn't on Clinton's campaign.

But I don't care for slamming someone White for such a remark when people like Al Sharpton always get a pass. That of course is a different argument but I felt like tossing it in.

I didn't mention Obama. I responded to the two scenarios. Who SAYS those two things is irrelevant.

I have read his comments and he was great. But I feel unrest when people keep scratching the race issue.

well lets see if they go nuts over the scorching sermons he made recently regards clinton doing to black people what he did to monica.. YouTube - Jeremiah Wright - Hillary Clinton ain't never been called... ..and I heard some sermons today on the radio that obamas preacher made in the recent past.....some of it is, well, vile and filled with victimization pathology and hate America commentary.

I found this online...its from the michael savage site but the sermons are , well the sermons, they speak for themselves.

Jeramiah Wright Speech

Will the Mainstream media be brave enough to rasie this issue, regarding associations with this gentleman; he’s had 2 kids baptized by this man. I am not saying he agrees with this guy but he is an active member of his church. I do recall many religious associative angles being made issues of by the MSM in the last couple of elections regards the right wing fundamentalist wing-nuts, but bush was not members of those churches congregations etc....lets see what the MSM does.

My prediction; Obama will have to disavow assoc. with this man, or it will hurt him, bad, that is if its ever addressed that is.

Re: Thoughts on Obama

I think it is more interesting that the democrats are more interested in issues that have nothing to do with providing for the general Welfare of the United States. I would expect candidates from any party to have solutions to our current socio-economic problems, that are not rooted in last millennium's ideology.

I'll bet a Coke that it isn't addressed, at least to the level it was addressed with GWB.
