Sure. And I am sure John F. Kerry did just what you tell us to do. And made a right choice.

Re: Thoughts on Obama
Huh? John F. Kerry hasn't had a rational thought since he was conceived.

And, just like in every other presidential election I've ever seen, the people are focusing on one person and forgetting that Congress IS the source of most of our problems, on BOTH sides. Even if Obama, Clinton or McCain had any intention of living up to their promises, they'd have to get them past Congress first.

Re: Thoughts on Obama
OBAMA'S LIST OF SUPPORTERS READ LIKE A WHO'S WHO OF TERRORISTS, RACISTS, MARXISTS, MUSLIMS,THUGS AND AMERICA HATERS OF THE WORLD:
>William Ayers (Weatherman Underground bomber, unrepentant domestic terrorist) Frank Davis (Member Communist Party USA, Early mentor to Obama) >Jeremiah Wright (Black Liberation militant, racist, and Pastor) Tony Rezko (Corrupt Financier, ties to Terror Financing) >Louis Farrakhan (Nation of Islam Leader, racist, anti-American) RailaOrdinga (Fundamental Islamic Candidate, Kenya, Obama's Cousin) >Daniel Ortega (Marxist Sandinista Leader. Nicarauga) Raul Castro (Hard-line Communist Leader, Cuba) >Communist Party Illinois (US Communist Political Party) Socialist Party USA (Marxist Socialist Political Party) >The New Black Panther Party (Black Militant Organization, anti-American and racist) Hamas Terrorist Organization (Islamic Terrorist Organisation) >More than 80 attorneys for Guantanamo detainees -who have been offering free-of-charge legal services. Not surprising that lawyers for Muslim terrorists would support Obama. >The Communist Party USA >The Committees of Correspondence for Democracy and Socialism >Rep. Keith Ellison, the first Muslim congressman > Sam Graham-Felsen, (Obama campaign's official blogger) He spent time in France taking part in labor riots, has written for a socialist magazine, hung a communist flag in his home, and was a fan of Marx while at Harvard. >Kwame Kilpatrick >MoveOn.org George Soros' (slumlord undergoing trial) son, Jonathan Soros, an attorney and financier, recently promoted to deputy manager of Soros Fund Management , is personally involved with MoveOn.org's activities. >Muslim Americans for Obama '08 >The Muslim American Society >Obama Supporters for Marijuana Law Reform >Obama Youth "Obama Youth" had as its logo the Islamic crescent and stars (until word got out on the net and they had to clean it up) >President Daniel Ortega ..who statee, "It's not to say that there is already a revolution under way in the U.S. ... but yes, they are laying the foundations for a revolutionary change." >Project Islamic H. O. P. E. ..who displayed Obama as their banner boy until word got out and they had to clean that up. Obama is no longer there on the site. >Rev. Al Sharpton ..obviously supports Obama, but obviously advised to keep it quiet. >Shepard Fairey Official artist of the Obama posters...remarkable resemblance to Marxist posters >Tony Rezko Obama said that he estimated Rezko raised about 50,000 to 60,000 for his political career. Obama has collected at least $168,308 from Rezko and his circle. >Malaak Shabazz Daughter of Malcomb X >The Socialist Party USA >George Soros billionaire - Jew hater They all support, endorse, and/or friends and mentors and advisors of BARACK HUSSEIN OBAMA. They all hate America, they all want to destroy America as we know it. They all want the United States to retreat in the war on terror, and they all want to make over the United States into a marxist/socialist/collective nation Obama's own core ideology/theology, coincide with these people. This says all you need to know about Obama.. You can and should judge a man by the company he keeps. Maybe this explains Obama hands were over his crotch instead of saluting the flag/anthem and refusing to wear the flag pin- claiming to do so was 'false patriotism'.

) I'm not exactly Obama's biggest fan (it's both him and the fact that his supporters act like they've joined a cult.) However, I take issue with some of these statements. They're unfair, wrong and they damage the image of those opposing Obama.(1) You seriously object to fair trials and people not, y'know, being tortured? Everyone has the right to expert representation and you're violating the principle of "innocent until proven guilty". (2) Um, so what? Are you saying that Muslims hate America? (Doesn't it logically follow that those who voted for Ellison do too?) As a religious minority in my own country, I'm a little sensitive about this. (3) What's wrong with France? A lot of people admire Marx. I myself do, but I'm not a Communist. He hung a Communist flag in his own home, as is his right. If you don't like the values of Obama's aides, and that's important to you, don't vote for Obama. Just don't act like some of his associates having minority political views means, in itself, that he hates his country. (4) Again, so what? Lots of people vote along religious lines, like Christian conservatives. (5) You may not agree with reform of the marijuana laws. Fine. But, yet again, the fact that a person does is not an indication of hating their country. Wanting to change the laws and social mores and/or following a minority religion does not mean you hate your country. (6) Isn't that a little melodramatic? Also, you're lumping people whose only crime is thinking a bit differently with genuine racists and criminals. Yes, he can be judged by the company he keeps, but I mean the likes of Wright, the Black Panthers and the white nationalists. Seriously, is the worst thing you can find out about him: that he doesn't salute his flag or national anthem? I don't sing my national anthem. Am I a traitor? There are so many reasons to oppose Obama. The fact that some of his supporters are - gasp! - Muslims or liberals is not one of them. Last edited by Hafke; 05-14-2008 at 12:35 PM. |

Re: Thoughts on Obama
Sonofahun:
Reur word capture; "At its best, the Obama candidacy is about ending a war—not so much the war in Iraq, which now has a mo*mentum that will propel the occupation into the next decade—but the war within America that has prevailed since Vietnam and that shows dangerous signs of intensifying, a nonviolent civil war that has crippled America at the very time the world needs it most. It is a war about war—and about culture and about religion and about race. And in that war, Obama—and Obama alone—offers the possibility of a truce." Best description so far ! |

Re: Thoughts on Obama
By the way,
It is quite logical for Obama to seek for the support of the minorities such as the Muslim and the Jew. If he describes himself as a "uniter," he needs to actually "unite" people around one common cause. That's why I have never surprised to read that Obama is the most favorable candidate among Jews and Muslims. Who says that America can never unite? What's impossible in the Middle East is happening right in the USA. One more reason to feel good. |
