And, no matter how much you wish to generalize such a large group of people, you will be proven wrong as long as you do. You tried to speak for me, a member of the "right" and got it oh-so-wrong.

Perhaps you will be more careful and think before attempting to generalize. It's one of the easiest fallacies to expose. Thanks for that.

Re: Thoughts on Obama

Please save me the speeches about generalization would ya.

My generalizations are based on statistics and as such do have validity
they might not be useful for describing your individual behavior but they show what
large groups of people do quite well.

You can fight history and the truth becuase you don't bother to learn them.
more then 8 years of republican control and what has improved.
Please tell me.
The market is basically exactly where it was when Bush took office.
The infrastructure of this nation is worse the debt is worse
many more lives have been lost, the poor and middle class are far worse off then they were even 20 years ago and you
want us all to believe that the right has done a good job or that we should keep them in power.
Sorry my friend but I don't take advice from people that don't know whats going on.

Re: Thoughts on Obama

And, no matter how much you wish to justify your generalization, it is still wrong.

Your generalizations about what the right thinks are incorrect, no matter how much a mob mentality may make it easy to deny.

Good luck keeping the generalizations up, though. I suspect you will need plenty of it.

Re: Thoughts on Obama

And no matter how much you try and justify
what the Right does your still wrong.

I don't care what they think, I care what they do
and I have all the evidence in the world to prove that what they do is
harming this nation and its people.

Where as all you have is some political rationalization for that behavior.

Hmmmm. I'm on the right. You tried to speak for my wants with your generalization and you got it wrong. Then you try this limp and impotent attempt to try to tell me that my wants are not ones that I hold. Very intersting, that thought process is.

Yes, good luck to you.

On the contray, I rather like what you post. It takes so little effort to refute.

Agreed. This is not the place for that kind of talk.

I dare you to stop being a coward and actually start a thread where you back your candidate and tell us how and why he excites you and why he should be President.

You just keep feeding the Obama hype with your stupid attacks. Don't you get it? The more you slander the guy with this cheap shit, the more people are going to like him.

My candidate isn't running.

It's not slander when it's 100% true....not to mention that I didn't say it.....I wrote it. He would have more of a case against me for lible.

You're problem is that you feel that any valid flaw Obama has that we point to you is not fair to mention.

Learn to defend him on the merets not by just claiming we're picking on him or using cheap shots.

Let's see if you can name something the man has ever accomplished. Try naming any principled stand he's ever taken that wasn't merely just a protest against Bush.

He even said this morning that the reason he was against the surge was primarily because of his dissagreement with Bush policies not because of any valid tactical concerns.
Quote:
MORAN: If you had to do it over again, knowing what you know now, would you support the surge?

OBAMA: No, because, I -- I -- I -- eh -- I -- Keep in mind that -- that --

MORAN: You wouldn't?

Obama - Uh, eh, um, well -- These kinds of hypotheticals are very difficult. You know, hindsight is 20/20. But I think that w-what I am absolutely convinced of is that, uh, at that time, we had to change the political debate because the view of the, uh (pause), Bush administration at that time was one that I disagreed with.Messiah Lectures ABC Disciple; Judas Appears at Washington Post

I'm not even going to start getting caught up in your partisan hackery.

I'm not an Obama fanboy. And I've taken clear stands against his many areas of his policies from his energy policy, to foreign policy, to gov't spending, and elsewhere.

But you keep spitting out the least credible crap about him. Who fucking cares if he's going to give his acceptance speech to a sold-out crowd of like 100,000 people? Wouldn't you feel great if that many people wanted to line up for McCain?

And don't tell me you're not voting for McCain.

Obama's stand against going into Iraq to begin with shows he has better judgment on that than McCain did, who just simply followed along blindly.

And Obama's stand on not giving any corporate welfare to big polluters and people who sell out their own fellow Americans is welcome news. If you're for helping corporations sell out their own citizens in order to move those jobs to India and elsewhere, than you're not patriotic.

What is most evident to any person with an open mind is that Obama's stand against the war is based purely on hindsight and it is only an attempt to patronize the left.

Speaking of patriotism.....Obama can't bring himself to admit that the military had much to do with the success of the surge.........so whom is selling out whom?
