For the record, In my Statement I cleary said 'If he has Islamic Beliefs". I do not know if he does one way or another and , if he does, I do not necessarily believe his beliefs would negatively effect his ability to lead this country. I do believe, however, that anyones religious beliefs would have an influence on how they approached the many various problems the next President may face. In fact, undertanding of the Islamic beliefs may be a positive thing in helping to forge Foreign Policy.

My cnocern with Obama remains the same concern I have with many of the other presidential candidates, lack of leadership experience

He's a pretty typical politician who happens to be a gifted public speaker in a system where public speaking skills still matter, thus allowing people to see whatever it is they want to see when they look at him.

First of all you said a black Muslim being elected is too horrid to contemplate which means you are judging somebody by the color of their skin and their religion which isn't even his religion but just an assumption. That's beyond bigotry.

Second if I was to judge every Christian candidate by everything written in the bible then it would be just as horrid and I wouldn't be voting at all but I do because I do not stereotype of discriminate based on race, creed, or religion.

Cyberella is one rare example of bigotry, xenophobia and racism, all to their full extent, beyond reason and imagination. I felt ashamed of what I had to read of him/her. The post that seems to have been sent again and again looks like to be penned by Daniel Pipes and the like, who are rare and mariginal and old, thankfully, in the USA. But I guess it would be enough for a great nation like ours to have few more people like these to be completely ashamed of ourselves and of all the rich traditions that have made us a nation for centuries in the eyes of the world's nations, poor and rich.
