It died because it sucked.

Her plan was so unfeasible her own party killed it in committee......

Which, in the end, is precisely what Hillary has done for them.

Bush's talk didn't cost millions.

Because she did. You don't think those "blue-ribbon" committees in DC come for free, do you?

I want competent leaders, with actual experience, to try.

Hillary was given that project for no apparent reason (unless Bill just wanted her busy and out of the way of his extra-curricular activities). She's never lead even a city government. She's never been involved in a significant public policy initiative that wasn't a miserable failure.

Clinton was better that Bush Sr. on that front, but pretending he didn't get involved in military entanglements is both inaccurate and naive.

The Healthcare plan went up against some of the most powerful lobbies in America. I was brave. The plan is better than what is there now without 50 million people covered... Matt I worked in the area of Healthcare IT.. The US system is not only grossly unfair and thus shortens peoples lives, even ones with insurance but is also hugely expensive... Hillary wanted to change that but there was too many vested interests in Healthcare to let that happen. We are trying to do the same thing in Ireland at the moment and the vested interests are unbelievable. The most unrepresented are the patients.. That is not to say all medical staff and corps are bad but there is a culture among them.

By Bush sitting on his arse like he did on a number of critical issues he condemmed alot of people to unnecessary painful deaths..

Concerning War my comparsion is that Bush Sr and Clinton both explored options to not put there troops in the way as much as possible when compared the present guy...

Healthcare reform is needed in the US. One of the problems is that our healthcare system supports a second, multi-billion dollar industry - the med/mal lawsuit lottery.

True... perhaps that weirdo thinks of dinner salad when she hears the term "tossed salad" instead of your approach of leaping immediately to unconventional sexual practice. I tell you, these socialist pinkos are destroying the moral fabric of our society by taking a term literally instead of conjuring up images of tongues in rectums.

There are not 50 million uninsured in the US. What a crock.

I found it to be rather funny within its context - her running for office within NY (remember her wearing Yankees cap, etc...)...Colin "Quintessential New Yorker" Quinn pointing out that a "real" New Yorker would know to steer clear of such a statement.

As far as deviant sexual practices go, I am very confident HRC has partaken in more than her fair share of 'em... Given her probable "activities", I doubt she'd be un-savvy enough to tell an elementary school art class on the campaign trail that she is an "expert at fingerpainting and scissoring".

She doesn't strike me as a particularly saucy lass, but it's certainly none of my business what she chooses to do in her spare time. And, don't get me wrong - I'm on HRC defender. I was just seizing the opportunity to be a smartass.

Re: Poor Hillary

she had a ~10% lead in the polls and now she is winning New Hampshire? Weird. Although the Iowa polls were quite different than the end result as well.

I never see something like that in Dutch politics. Perhaps its because of the small scale of the primaries, and the polls in larger states will be more accurate?

The polls are all bullshit. One reason is because the people being asked the questions tell lies about their preferences. The attitude is, fuck you, it's none of your business. So they get a nice laugh by intentionally lying. I would never tell some asshole pollster what I really feel. It's called a 'secret ballot' for a reason!.

So, last night they polls showed Obama leading by a minimum of 10% and one poll had him leading15% over Hillary! Now today, the actual results are Hillary is winning by 2%. This only proves what I have been saying for a long time - there is only one poll that matters, the one taken on election night. Everything else is BULLSHIT.

Re: Poor Hillary

I'll never watch polling data again!! As of this morning, Hillary was suppose to lose by several points, & she comes out the winner in NH the same night!

A few pointers for Hillary is she really wants to win in the general election, that is, if she is the nominee of her party.

Tips for Hillary to win the general election.

1. Get Bill off of the stage, & out of the campaign. "If" upon winning the election, don't give Bill the opportunity to embarass you by having him live in the White House.
2. Stop bashing President Bush & his policies, he is not running against you. There are many swing voters, looking for a change, that you will discourage by the constant bashing of President Bush. Plus you're acting very partisan by your attacks on President Bush, & this just reflects the same "ol", same "ol that we have experienced over the last 8 years. "If you want to be a uniter instead of a divider, you should probably start right now."

Good Luck
