You mean revisionist history? Bush has already been proven wrong.

If things get better in Iraq eventually, I don't think they are going to hail Bush as a founding father.

A democracy? You mean like South Vietnam, where Diem canceled the elections when he knew he wouldn't win? Some democracy that would be!

Similarly, the Iraqi "democracy" started off elections by having the invading US forces ban candidates they didn't like from running.

When it comes to Vietnam, the mistake was invading in the first place.

Sadly the British have been fed by anti-US sentiment, mostly spread by American liberals on our liberal news shows.

This along with an established 'little Englander' mentality led most of the British public -blissfully ignorant of foreign affairs, into the assumption that the Iraq war was a mistake.

when history was written it will prove Mr. Bush right.
You may remain embarrased-I wouldn't say that accounts for all the British people.

We havn't withdrawn just yet-we handed over the bases to the ISF (who have been doing well there) and pulled back into the desert, providing support when needed which appears to be quite a sucessful policy. Indeed, terrorist attacks have been falling in the British south. I'd say its been one of Browns biggest sucesses.

Also: theres no Liberal media in Britian, our laws don't allow undue bias either way, though i would admit that theres an definate anti-american attitude amoung a majority of people though a lot of thats down to the actions of many Americans who come over and Bush-who is portrayed as a idiot by almost everyone.

I can't see the arguement that the Iraq War was correct at all-I can udnerstand people wanting Saddam removed but we where sold it on the whole WMD claim, which has been firmly disporven. That said I do think we have a duty to stay in now and stablise Iraq, we can't just cut and run.
