Wyoming Caucus

With a third of the vote in, Obama is leading Hillary 58% to 40%.

The gains in delegates that Hillary made last Tuesday-approximately 25 delegates-will be erased after this caucus and then the Mississippi primary this upcoming Tuesday. The question in my mind is, will Hillary bow out gracefully, or will she continue to stand in the way?

Yes, her camp is all proud and her prospects in Pennsylvania 6 weeks from now look bright at the moment, with her 15 point lead in the polls there. But Obama is going to spend a lot there, and the polls will tighten, and if Hillary wins the state by just 3 or 4 points, it will not affect the glaring evidence that she's still behind by 135 pledged delegates.

I think by sticking in the race, she's hurting the Democratic Party. They can't raise any money for the presidential campaign until this thing is over, and now she's the one crying for do-overs in Michigan and Florida. That wasn't the case when she was in the lead. And it has gotten lost on everyone that 49% of the Michigan vote went to either "Not Committed" or Dennis Kucinich and Mike Gravel. And there's no way that if a campaign in Florida were allowed to happen that she would win it again by 25 points like she did last time.

It's time to get out of the way, Clintons. I think you're bright and everything, and the economy would be in good hands, but Obama should press the argument that at 3 a.m., who really wants a President who followed George Bush into Iraq to be answering the phone?

Meanwhile, the lazy media in America is now perpetuating this idea that Hillary can win the big states. Sure, she won California, New York, Ohio and Texas, but she ignored all the smaller states that Obama has shown huge results in. The Democrats are going to take Cali and NY anyway, and will lose Texas anyway, and the last two intellectual dweebs the Dems chose to run both lost Ohio. That Obama could swing states like North Carolina, South Carolina, Nevada and Minnesota, and even the Dakotas of all places, makes him far more valuable. It also helps that he's run a national campaign for the first time in decades as a Democrat.

Re: Wyoming Caucus

The longer this goes on, the longer the eventual Democratic nominee gets a front page story every day, compare that with the GOP's eventual nominee who gets a page six story about him losing his temper at a reporter, and another story where he is mentioned as the guy who sent thousands of jobs to France, and isn't even called on to respond.

No one is doing much for the GOP in the states that haven't voted yet, but the Democrats are signing up voters and setting up get out the vote organizations that will still be there in the general election.

Sure they are attacking each other, but that's better than being completely ignored.

Re: Wyoming Caucus

people get tired goober...of the same thing everyday.....I think it was obamas message and the Hillary everywhere and the presumptive that drove some to distraction making them ready for a new message and an alternative....frankly, I would rather see McCain running a bit under the radar than trying to grab it all now...hs got till August..then he can start edging up the visibility and message....

many many studies have shown voters that is voters truly making a decision not just the usual party faithful make up their minds very late in the cycle....thats why the old October surprise is , well the October surprise, not allw9ng much time to debate spurious charges, of which the reps, have had plenty of practice at deflecting...as does the partyu inpower each cycle as well....
