Re: Richardson Endorses Obama

And the REAR end kissing continues.. people kissing rear to make sure that there is a job for them in the future.

People and posters looking for change but really no change at all, just a move to the other side of the street.

D.C. will continue to take away the rights of each of us tomorrow and next year unless we truely change the people that are in office.

Again, if Richardson was really worried about his own rear end, he'd sit back and wait for the end of the nomination process or he'd wait until there was a clear winner before making any noise instead of sticking his neck way out there at the risk of alienating many powerful constituents in his party. He's actually doing something because he really BELIEVES its the right thing to do.

My own opinion of Richardson just went up a few notches.

Re: Richardson Endorses Obama

By doing it sooner and not later he is likely to get a better spot with the new admin.

The Dance of the political top continues.

There is only one that is looking to change this country and that person is not of the media top three.

Yeah, sure. Richardson only waited until it was a near mathematical certainty that Obama would get the nomination before coming out for him. How courageous.

If Obama winning the nomination is a mathematical foregone conclusion, then why is Hillary still running?

Obviously, because this is still a race that can be won by either candidate.

Re: Richardson Endorses Obama

I think he has a right to endorse whom ever but Richardson put his foot in his mouth in Feb., by saying that the super delegates should vote with the state they represent. Hum?

Re: Richardson Endorses Obama

I would feel more comftorable with an Obama/Richardson ticket because of his NRA rating and his position on taxes. That being said, I think a cabinet post would be more likely to happen.

He'd be a decent Secretary of State -- he's certainly qualified.

Agreed, I also think Biden would be good to have in some foreign policy position.

Biden has the experience and expertise to be Sec. State but he's no diplomat. We need someone at that position who is going to be swayed to listen to our position on any given issue. In short, he's way too confrontational and abrasive IMO to be America's top diplomat. That's kind of why I like the idea of Richardson at that post.

The last great Sec. State was James Baker -- we've had a bunch of duds since then: Eagleburger, Christopher, Albright, Powell, Rice.

Re: Richardson Endorses Obama

Bill chimes in:

Quote:
... Rachel Binah, a former Richardson delegate who now supports Hillary Clinton, told Bill how "sorry" she was to have heard former Clinton campaign manager James Carville call Richardson a "Judas" for backing Obama.

...

"Five times to my face (Richardson) said that he would never do that," a red-faced, finger-pointing Clinton erupted.

Source: Bill Clinton's tirade stunned some delegates
Maybe the Clinton camp does have legitimate basis to feel betrayed ... if Bill is to be believed, that is.

Re: Richardson Endorses Obama

Clintons are good at driving qualified people off themselves. Richardson is one of them. I wonder how the Clintons spent their eight years in the WH. Making enemies?
