Re: Al Sharpton & Jesse Jackson silent ?????
They are probably aware that their involvement would hurt Obama even more. But it is still impressive that they have managed to go against instinct and remain silent thus far.

I don't know about Sharpton, haven't heard anything there. (and that's alright by me) However, Jackson was on the Ed Schultz Show. He wasn't particularly volatile, but said his piece about it. (*Not quoting* ) Bottom line was to question why were we focusing on a non-candidate and not talking about issues? He did seem to think that having the issue of race relations come up, was not only innevitable, but a potential positive. (To the best of my memory, anyway.) |

Re: Al Sharpton & Jesse Jackson silent ?????
Maybe Obama has a spot for one or both of them in his admin (if he wins).

Maybe the O-mob-a has threatened to have them "taken care of" if they peep.

If this would have been McCain...and he had a white minister say word for word except replace black with white........these guys would have been all over it...and of course so would have the entire world media.

Re: Al Sharpton & Jesse Jackson silent ?????
I'm having flashbacks to 1995 w.r.t. OJ and the Sharptons/Jacksons types. (NOT comparing Obama to OJ at all...no comarison.) For most of OJ's career, he was not embraced by these types (loud mouths, IMO)...something like he wasn't "black enough" (
), hanging with too many whites, embracing the "white comunity" (?), etc. Then the trial came and they sure did open their mouths.Obama can only hope that they stay quiet. But who does really have any respect for these types of big mouths lately? (Except for the Tawana Bradley family, of course).

Re: Al Sharpton & Jesse Jackson silent ?????

Re: Al Sharpton & Jesse Jackson silent ?????
Then all you watch is Fox...that's pretty much all who covered it.
The "little 3" (formally big three) each showed a combined 18 seconds of the videos, with ABC using 10 seconds of it....CNN barely talked about it at all. This is probably the most clear indication of media bias in American history, if this would have been McCain attending a white church saying clear racist comments and was apart of McCain's campaign??? - are you kidding?? He would be absolutely disgraced, the Republican party would have held some special committee to take away delegates by now...the media would cover it perhaps only slightly less than 9/11.
