Moon, maybe you've never been to America, but this is how politics work here, you count the jews, you count the Palestinians, and you back the one that there is the most of voting in the next election.
Nobody can bring peace to that area except the Israelis and Palestinians, and the Israelis are going to get more backing from outside the area than the Palestinians.
I'm not saying it's fair, I'm not saying it's right, I'm saying that is the way it works.
If it was me, I'd petition Israel to annex the West Bank and Gaza, and make the whole place one happy country.
They'd never go along with it, but the rest of the world might pause, and with that a serious plan for peace might take shape.

To take the reality test, why not look at the issues that American voters have on their minds? I'm not real sure just where the Israel/Palestine issue stands on the list , but I've yet to hear it as a burning issue with the voters.
