Well I voted....and it matters!!

Just got back from placing my vote....lot more people there than other Primaries that is for sure.
Usually at 7:00am you can walk right up to the booth and vote right away - this morning I had to wait a good 15 minutes.

Pretty exciting...Indiana has never mattered in a Primary before...whohoo!

Today's contests will be interesting. I saw a news piece about an attack ad Hillary launched in the closing hours in Indiana.

I think things will get much uglier as the convention approaches.

I have a feeling the Clinton team is gonna be surprised by Indiana today.

Everyone is excited this late in the primary. This late is still matters. What do you think this all means?

I wish I could vote in the Montana primary. Wouldn't it be great if Montana put someone over the top. They would be doing hand-springs down the streets if they new Montana counted for once.

Any Operation Chaos people in attendance? They are supposed to be somewhat covert, but if you saw anyone unshaved and showered, wearing flip flops, with their nose up in the air, that could be them.

Re: Well I voted....and it matters!!

Obama is spending ALOT of money doing TV ads here, as well as Newspaper.
You couldn't watch TV last night/this morning w/o seeing several ads - Hillary on the other hand has some spots but nowhere near as many.

To answer the exit poll question - yes there were some folks asking people questions - all I gave was who I voted for - I had to get back to the office.
The person (who looked 12) looked considerably disappointed that I wouldn't stick around - particularly after who I said I voted for!

I think that would be the normal Lib voter in SF or Boston.

I'm not sure if any Operation Chaos people could make themselves look that bad quick enough. They were told to do this by Rush yesterday. Kind of hard to make themselves look like lefties that quickly.

Besides, Rush was just joking about it. No need to take him seriously on this one...........unless you're a Lib.

Libs tend to take everything he says seriously even when he's joking in an attempt to get them to react the way they usually do.

I guess this is why some states like that late primary I recall a couple of months ago someone expressing dismay that the GOP primary was over by the time it got to his state... Interesting that our votes in primaries are essentially reduced to a crap shoot - like picking two digits for the Super Bowl for each quarter.

I personally voted in the GOP primary, since it's not like there was any doubt what Illinois would do in the Dem primary. I didn't think the state needed my help not voting for Hillary.

I bet it was exciting... voting on Super Tue in Illinois was anti-climactic.. there were so many states also voting and we didn't get any special attention or get inundated with ads, appearances and stump speeches.

You probably now have an idea what an Iowan feels like every presidential election cycle.

Indeed.
Hell there have been primaries that even I didn't vote, I can't remember and I am too lazy to look it up, but I saw it on TV that this was the first time since I believe it was 1968 where Indiana was a true deciding factor.

Indiana has open primaries?

We do too, I much prefer it.

Re: Well I voted....and it matters!!

I don't like open primaries, I like partially open primaries. Independents should be rewarded for not being lemmings for either party. But if you are registered Democrat, you shoudnt be choosing the Republica Prez nominee and vice versa. Operation Chas is exactly the point I would argue.
