Yes, clearly.

Because, poor people are often purchasing $57,590 H2s (MSRP for base model)

or $28,135 (again MSRP for stripped down base model) V-10 F-350s.

Yes we need to get off the Oil, but there needs to be some thing in the time from now to that day, with out it the poor are going to be hit the hardest.

Mon and Pop stores going out of business.... the little cafe closed, the small farm sold... the small fishing boat under corp control... the single trucker a slave to the corp trucking company.

Remember when 80% of business had less than 3 employees? gone to the corp slaves...
Yes, yes.

Much rolling of eyes and gnashing of teeth.

However, what is your solution?

Well, what you'd prefer and what could happen could easily be two very different things.

Minus an increase in efficiency, are you willing to see your taxes increased?

Please. Clearly I don't advocate for willy-nilly tax increases, which is what I would have been accused of if I'd said "yes." Do I see the need for some increases in taxes that would impact me? Yes. Would I want those tax increases to be implemented responsibly, and used to the greatest effect? Absolutely.

Do I tire of the bullshit strawmen? Without question.

That's untrue.

I've read what you've written, and the message is quite clear...

It's absolutely true.

You put everything you read through your filter, and hear and see only what you really want to. This is why you're constantly ascribing beliefs to others that they clearly don't have. You've demonstrated repeatedly that you're either unwilling or unable to evaluate and understand another's perspective.

See, Steve, your task when you are trying to communicate something is not merely to state that something is clear to you, but to make it clear to others.

My "task" is to read something and determine what the poster intends.

What Pram intends is quite clear. If others are too stupid to understand it, that's not my problem...

Well, if you want to actually participation in a discussion as opposed to just throwing verbal spitwads, yes, it is your problem.

How is wanting a higher price of oil/gas to give us a market incentive to get off the black stuff "robbing Peter to pay Paul"? How is it "not solving anything"?

These are not rhetorical questions. What the hell are you talking about? That's not a rhetorical question, either, although it usually is.
