Actually, Obama's position on the Middle East is pretty well known.

He's spoken before AIPAC, and he supports the status quo with regard to support for Israel, including military sales / aid.

Asked by moderator Tim Russert what he could do to reassure Jewish Americans, Obama cited his belief that Israel's security is "sacrosanct."

If you're holding out hope that Obama will be your long sought after "pro-palestinian" candidate, I think you can put it to rest.

Well that explains the no child left behind nonsense, too bad we all know standardized tests aren't the best way to assess intelligence. I'm not familiar with either Kerry or Bush's academic records, I am familiar with the way Bush has repeatedly demonstrated his ignorance about the state of the world, the effects of military intervention, education policy, economic policy etc. etc. These things are fair game when ridiculing him as "Dubya."
You do know that "No child left behind" was just as much a libera,l idea as a Republican?

Quote:
Kennedy was a major player in the bipartisan team that wrote the controversial No Child Left Behind Act of 2001, which, according to both Kennedy and President Bush, was a compromise. He then worked to get it passed in a Republican controlled Congress, despite the opposition of members from both parties.

Apparently.

That moolie is a mess. Why? Because he's fallen victim to what I've seen first hand too many times.

A black man starts to get ahead. He starts to become "accepted" by "white people". Black-On types clamor. He begins to doubt himself. He is stuck...roll with it or entertain the Roots, pun intended.

Call it Dave Chappelle Syndrome. He saw the white cameraman laughing at one of his skits and got the jitters.

I initially did not have a problem with B. Hussein Obama, personally, other than the fact that his politics suck. But as a family man, a man of [lefty] conviction, somebody who fought hard for what he had, I gave him credit.

Gone. Gone, Daddy, Gone.

No guts.

I don't think Obama is "Black-On", but he painted himself into that corner by not repudiating that hardcore nonsense.

Not much different that Steven "Big Daddy" Hill in the Navy. Huge corn-fed negro from the "Souff" who managed to get enough out of his secondary education to land himself in the nuclear (compelled to say "NUKE-U-LAR") engineer program in the Navy (not easy to do). He did well, but got stressed, and punched out his instructor. Gone. Lands in my division (unskilled "Deck Apes") and never could reconcile being smart and full of potential with the other "brothers". He slid to appease. Broke my heart, because he was a good friend. Not much I could do about it. Some people are slaves (again, pun intended) to peer pressure.

Obama cannot have it both ways. We'll have a black POTUS when they actually rely upon the content of their character above the color of their skin.

From a certain prospective you have a point..........

The problem is pride............

Pride will destroy you. Learning to swallow your pride is something some people can't or won't accept. You can't go around punching out everyone who pisses you off. You're gonna end up in jail if you do. I've heard similar stories from others. The Navy Nuke program tries to weed out the troublemakers by stressing them out. They break and lose it in training which is better then doing it in the fleet.

Obama's problem is he's trying to be all things to all people.

He wants to please everyone and it can't be done.

He made a choice decades ago and now he's paying a price for it.

He decided that the only way he was gonna get ahead was by mixing with the wrong crowd.

We will merge pro-Obama threads the day you merge anti-Obama threads.

Agreed?

And you keep on feeding on ohers' comments; not bringing forward your own. Instead of trying to read posters' intentions, please tell us what you really think about the issues raised in the thread.

Sometimes sarcasm is the only thing some posters have.

Personal attacks do not work here.

Bring forward your own sarcasm, which you can.

Bring forward your own argument against mine, which you can't.

Never make such posts to enlarge your post number, which you may.

Try to have a decent discussion, which you should.

Why are my Obama threads such a big concern for you; I cannot comprehend.

If you feel I exaggerate, then simply don't join them. That would make you look more democratic.

I have listed my points of view on why I prefer Obama over others. You might agree or disagree with me; that's quite normal.

But it becomes a problem when you try to read my intentions behind my posting Obama threads. That's close to backbiting and a disgrace in my vocabulary.

I would never challenge you to compare anything we have done on this forum.

The subject of your threads isn't relevant to me. You could be talking about ice cream and kitty cats for all I care. The point is that you were starting multiple threads about the exact same subject over a short time period.

As far as I can recall I never made any mention of intention. Furthermore there is no way you could define my arguement with you as backbiting. I am telling you directly that I have problem with your spam. How is that backbiting?

Insinuating that I cared if anti-Obama threads got merged. The point is I don't care. If there are others spamming anti-Obama stuff like you are spamming pro Obama stuff then it is my opinion they should be merged as well.
