Campaign 2008: TV Media Is Elites Brainwashing the Masses

Never has C-Span, CNN and FOX so much colluded with the extreme Right Wing, the NeoCons, to control how we perceive every media event.

Book TV has Right Wing Republicans posing as govmnt watchdog groups, but are really there to bolster Bush's dismantling of the Constitution.

This technique is Perception Management and is being used everyday to remake Americas image.

They try to shape what VP is picked, what "bystanders" say about an issue, project what pollsters and media think tanks want people to think.

Down the memory hole goes Clinton and her staffers malicious greed and ruthless defense policy never given scrutiny but swept under the rug, as Time Warner sells you the latest war porn,"Lords of War" starring Nicholas Cage.

Look at that cabbage head Lou Dobbs. He always says he's an independant, a bold faced lie.

I don't care if he's married to a Mexican. His schtick on immigration is a GOP designed divide and conquer tactic to divide the country and fire up the "angry white male" voter.

Its a diversion away from the fact that the Pentagon is stealing all the tax dollars, and that CNN's "Situation Room" fear/terror propaganda is fueling this.

"Democracy without honest information creates the illusion of popular consent at the same time that it enhances the power of the state and the privileged interests that the state protects. And nothing characterizes corporate media today more than its disdain toward the fragile nature of modern life and its indifference toward the complex social debate required of a free and self-governing people.

The above is taken from a report below….as is the following….

By 2011, the market analysts tell us, the Internet will surpass newspapers in advertising revenues. With MySpace and Dow Jones controlled by News Corporation’s Rupert Murdoch, Microsoft determined to acquire Yahoo!, and with advertisers already telling some bloggers, “Your content is unacceptable,” we could potentially lose what’s now considered an unstoppable long tail of content offering abundant, new, credible and sustainable sources of news and information. "

CORPORATE MEDIA COLLUDES WITH DEMOCRACY’S DEMISE « Desertpeace

If that doesn't work change the subject, corrode the American mind with fear and division, videos of the bombs going off, digitally enhanced HD sound of the explosions your prehisoric lizard brain perceives as real (and gets you heart pumping.)

HD Death broadscreen propaganda tool in place of content, did you notice the content is gone from the telescreen?

Torture is being used as norm in shows. "This is how its done, this is war," is the message.

"Hollywood pressured over torture portrayals"

By Aamer Madhani | Washington Bureau

July 12, 2008
"WASHINGTON — Ken Robinson, an Army Special Forces intelligence officer turned Hollywood producer, was working on a short-lived Pentagon drama aptly titled "E-Ring" for a network when two of the show's writers stopped by his office to discuss the details of torture and other harsh interrogation methods."

"By 2003, the first year of the war in Iraq, there were 228 instances in which torture was portrayed on network TV, according to Human Rights First, a civil liberties group that advocates governments banning torture."

Re: Campaign 2008: TV Media Is Elites Brainwashing the Masses

The TV media in America is a bunch of lazy asses who forgot to question things before the run-up to both wars, took little or no time informing the public about the fact that America tore up international agreements such the ABM treaty, Kyoto, and the agreements that had been made with North Korea, which saw them dismantle over half of their reactors. The lazy TV media still hasn't bothered to inform Americans that little progress was made during the so-called "surge", where militants all over Iraq were put on the American payroll, which has been effective at decreasing violence, but completely ineffective at making any political progress there. Like every other decision so far in Iraq, it's lose-lose.

The media isn't tough enough, and they bore the hell out of me by covering every single important issue the same way: 1) Headline, 2) Little Analysis, 3) Talking head from the left; Talking head from the right. What we're left with is always more questions, fewer answers, and rigid ideology and stupidity instead of common sense and logical questions, like, "So you put your huge military in Afghanistan; How do you know whose on your side or not? How does the military gather intelligence? Go knocking cave to cave?". We should have started there, because what we ended up doing was paying militias to hand over "terrorists" to us, in exchange for money, meanwhile, all the so-called "terrorists" they handed over were always militants in opposing tribes who were not necessarily terrorists at all. And over 100 innocent Afghanis have been tortured to death by us, with no good information gleaned from them, and no evidence of their guilt.

The TV media in America is just one component of the fabric of America that is falling apart and making everybody more stupid today. In polls now, Americans are feeling safer than anytime since 9/11. But of course, that's not because America is actually safer, it's because it's culture has ADD. We're headed down the path of getting hit again, but instead of investing in technology to inspect more than just 5% of all containers coming to America, the people decided they wanted a tax cut instead.

The media has it's head in the sand, along with many people, while America is on it's way to receiving more "blowback" for it's misguided foreign policy. We're fooling ourselves to think we're safer now.

This is why God invented the internet, because television news is 99.99% bull.

I hardly think God would invent the internet since half the net is porn...if so then I need to go back to church if this is what it has become!

Didn't you know Gore invented the Internet just to look at porn?

You can't blame him after waking up to Tipper every morning.

That doesn't make any sense, Tipper is one of the better looking political wives around.

Now Spitzer's wife. Or Craig's wife. Yeesh.

Some one here just woke up to what the media has been doing for how long?

Sad how some say that this is going on, but that no one wishs to listen.

How many times has TV played that Reagan video "Tear Down This Wall"
lately?

I even saw it on "Inside Edition" last week (The host is a Christian Right winger, Deborah Norville).

Reagan and America always capitalize on the fall of the USSR but had little to do with it.

Now, the Right Wing has to use that Reagan video for propaganda, constantly, which everyone knows is BS.

Everyone knows Reagan was a puppet for crooks to run illegal scams. He was so daft was the reason he was put in there, to be manipulated.

you keep saying it but you refuse to read anything or open your mind to make your self more aware......in short self delusion, repeating it doesn’t mean it is, or make it true.

Bush was right in not signing kyoto as and I posted this in an article here very recently, the EU now agrees that china and India should be included and admit they have no hope of meeting their own targets according to kyoto...

the surge? whatever dude.

And again, you have what appears to be an infantile, self aggrandizing understanding of Middle east culture, I tried to explain calmly explain some of the points to you, you didn’t even attempt to respond, they were categorized as “bitching” .......

as to the abm, we would not have an operative missile shield now if we had not, and we are not being stingy with its results either....

In future your posts like this are going to basically elicit nothing but a roll of the eyes from me, because that’s all they deserve. Your mind is closed.

This is the main mistake of your argument: that the dumbing and so called laziness of the press is somehow accidental.

When Time-Warner makes war propganda it is not screwing around. Its promoting a policy. All these fears in your prehistoric lizard brain must be constantly reinforced, or as they know, people begin to question.
