Re: Gore/ McCain alliance?
No no, it would have to be "Patriot Act". Or maybe, "Religious Right". Or maybe their coining of "Moral Values". You can't claim to have moral values when you side with torture. Having moral values means defending them even if it's inconvenient to do so.

Though, I can understand confusion, since Christ is, according to the Gospels, not particularly clear on the subject: Matthew 7:1: "Judge not, that ye be not judged." John 7:24: "Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment.")

Re: Gore/ McCain alliance?
I don't think so. I don't have much preference one way or the other in this POTUS election, but it seems to me that Obama is going to stroll into the office.

I think the biggest oxymoron has got to be "compassionate conservative".

Re: Gore/ McCain alliance?
Al Gore told Tom Brokaw, on Meet The Press, that he's happy doing what he's doing, and that he's not interested in being Vice President.
This, of course, can only be construed to mean that Gore has accepted Obama's offer to be his Vice President... ![]()

Re: Gore/ McCain alliance?
Nothing more fuckin' stupid than assuming everyone is a christian, yet you seem to do it often. When did Michael indicate that he was a christian?
And, I would have to agree; Jesus probably wasn't a sanctimonious asshole, unlike a lot of "christians" running around these days...
