On the note of Gore, there may well be an agreement of some sort, kind of like Arnie saying he may serve under Obama.
Oh no Traveler, you had to seee it, Algore spoke about it like it was a certainty, not an "if" deal whatsoever.

Derailing a thread to Christ instead of Bush may be a new and better USPOL trend.........shhhhhhhhhh!

No no, it would have to be "Patriot Act". Or maybe, "Religious Right". Or maybe their coining of "Moral Values". You can't claim to have moral values when you side with torture. Having moral values means defending them even if it's inconvenient to do so.

Of course, in the fine print, Christ gave permission for self-appointed clearinghouses of spirituality to dole out judgment on who is and who is not a Christian. He must have, or else the above would be hilariously hypocritical.

(PS, If you're going to put quotes around Matthew, you might consider posting what he actually said. Though, I can understand confusion, since Christ is, according to the Gospels, not particularly clear on the subject:

Matthew 7:1: "Judge not, that ye be not judged."
John 7:24: "Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment.")

I don't think so. I don't have much preference one way or the other in this POTUS election, but it seems to me that Obama is going to stroll into the office.

Re: Gore/ McCain alliance?

I think the biggest oxymoron has got to be "compassionate conservative".

Re: Gore/ McCain alliance?

Al Gore told Tom Brokaw, on Meet The Press, that he's happy doing what he's doing, and that he's not interested in being Vice President.

This, of course, can only be construed to mean that Gore has accepted Obama's offer to be his Vice President...

And, I would have to agree; Jesus probably wasn't a sanctimonious asshole, unlike a lot of "christians" running around these days...
