Re: Obama's brother found living in a hut.
I dunno what to say about this topic. I'm just rubber-necking this one since they're both bullshit stories. So Obama's dad went to another continent, left his family, fathered who knows how many other kids, and Obama has some responsibility or obligation about this? I don't get the logic. I thought conservatives had a self-reliant/self-responsibility philosophy?
Obama is one of 8 siblings that his father had. George Obama was a newborn when Barack Sr. passed away shortly after losing both legs in a car accident. The article says George is attending a technical college right now. It's kinda sad because the guy was born from Barack Sr.'s third marriage. But there are two or three other siblings who also live and work in Kenya, so I don't get why this guy is down and out. With that name, the only thing standing in his way is himself. |

But given you are a Ron Paul fan, I think a basic citation to the wiki bio on him helps make my point. His dad with an 8th grade education and an immigrant to boot was poor to start but kept his family together and instilled the values, got them working, schooled, etc. Paul got great ethics from it insofar as work, faith, sports, family, schooling, private and public duty, etc. The family and siblings valued each other. Paul likewise carried that value in practice--not bogus hypocritical and politically motivated rhetoric. He married his high school sweetheart and has stuck with her and valued her, raised his kids and stays involved with them, his wife, his grandkids, etc. Paul has served his country by joining the military and in politics, became a doctor, saw his own kids educated (one likewise an OB/GYN), etc. And he doesn't look for the taxman to do it. He doesn't want it and--very key--he doesn't need it. Regardless of any issue disagreement one may have with him politically (that's normal for everyone about anyone), the guy is a total winner as a human being and productive society member and so are his family and they all did that learning, helping, and developing themselves and their characters, etc, by a strong family value. If you like his fundamental character and such, look to what helped him get them and give it its due.

Re: Obama's brother found living in a hut.
Living in a hut? So what? Is he happy in his hut? Let him alone....
What is this: Candidate Sibling Week? "John McCain's long lost third cousin Marty was found filling snack machines at a truck stop in Albuquerque. Marty is bitter and disgruntled..." What nonsense! And who is reponsible for this piece of brave journalism? Vanity Fair! Vanity Fair in Rome: what a picture - Vanity Fair's elite correspondents looking inside every hut in the Nairobi outskirts, trying to find this fellow. |

Heh...
4% of people don't mind getting colonoscopies. 100% don't like getting ass cancer. Future history will be quite kind, but I suppose we've got enough threads dedicated to hashing that out, already. ![]() Cheers. |

Wow Obama, and Cindy McCain have something in common. So the fuck what. It's like an echo chamber in here.

Re: Obama's brother found living in a hut.
Uh, the guy says he is ashamed of and denies his relations with Obama. WTF do you propose Obama do? Hold him down, take him to New York City and force him to accept his money?

Re: Obama's brother found living in a hut.
No, he should go with his usual M.O. and force him to give his money. Spend it on shit like Midnight Basketball.

Obama calls himself a christian and yet he calls his father a bastard! Does he(Obama) not know that God despises it when a child does not respect his parents?
