Mr Obama, 26, the youngest of the presidential candidate's half-brothers, spoke for the first time about his life, which could not be more different than that of the Democratic contender.

"No-one knows who I am," he told the magazine, before claiming: "I live here on less than a dollar a month."

According to Italy's Vanity Fair his two metre by three metre shack is decorated with football posters of the Italian football giants AC Milan and Inter, as well as a calendar showing exotic beaches of the world.

Vanity Fair also noted that he had a front page newspaper picture of his famous brother - born of the same father as him, Barack Hussein Obama, but to a different mother, named only as Jael.

He told the magazine: "I live like a recluse, no-one knows I exist."

Embarrassed by his penury, he said that he does not does not mention his famous half-brother in conversation.

"If anyone says something about my surname, I say we are not related. I am ashamed," he said.

For ten years George Obama lived rough. However he now hopes to try to sort his life out by starting a course at a local technical college.

He has only met his famous older brother twice - once when he was just five and the last time in 2006 when Senator Obama was on a tour of East Africa and visited Nairobi.

The Illinois senator mentions his brother in his autobiography, describing him in just one passing paragraph as a "beautiful boy with a rounded head".

Of their second meeting, George Obama said: "It was very brief, we spoke for just a few minutes. It was like meeting a complete stranger."

So Goober, you ready to talk trash about Obama for not helping his brother who is poor and living in a wasteland? (I guess a DNC family value thing to allow a brother to live like this when you live in a million dollar home)

Why hasnt Obama, who lives in a million dollar home with children in private schools, done anything to help his poor brother? What type of person would allow the blood brother to live in such conditions?

So Obama is no different than Cindy McCain? Right Goober?

While I think the criticisms of Cindy McCain are pretty fucking retarded, a difference between the two cases needs to be pointed out.

Obama's brother is the one saying he's not related to Barack. His reasons are his own; if he's ashamed, so be it. But to criticize Obama on this is just silly. The man doesn't want to be associated with Barack Obama. That's all too clear when he states that he tell people they're not related...

I am not criticising Obama at all. Just pointing out to Goober that his man isn't a saint and is just as guilty as Cindy. Obama has met his brother yet now the he is found do you think Obama is going to extend any of his wealth to help him?

Yes you are criticizing Obama.

You say he's not a saint, when noone has said he is.

You say he is guilty (as Cindy).

You imply he is uncharitable in not helping the brother who denies he is related.

Steve is right. The difference is in who is denying the relation.

Besides the other reasons mentioned, Barack's father left his family high and dry. In many ways Barack despised what his father did and called him "bastard" and other such things in his book.

There would really be no way that Barack would reach out to his father (now dead) or the various children he sired in Africa.

This, just like the Cindy McCain half-sister thing, is bullshit.

If he was hiding from Obama and publicly denying any relation out of shame, I'd still like to see what Obama's reaction to this will be. If he doesn't at least try to help him, then I think it will reflect poorly on him. I didn't get from it that the brother doesn't want a relationship out of lack of interest--he's just hiding it of personal shame at his own circumstances. But I think now that Obama knows as do his other siblings that have patched a relationship to offer him assistance.

Sperm spreader loser "dads" like Barack Sr just remind me once again in addition to the daily resulting consequences I see at the courthouses that it would be a deserving fate in my Dante's Inferno conception to see them seared in the nads with a hot poker.
