You know, everyone is saying he forgot, when in fact, what he said was that he's going to let his staff answer that. He didn't want the sound clip to be him going on, ennumerating all of his holdings. It would have come off badly and was a question framed to make him look bad in the first place. It's not uncommon for candidates to field certain questions to their staff. But either way, there would be bad press from this moment. It was designed so he couldn't win either way.

It is important for Obama to change the subject because he was going down in flames. This attempt was dense and only appeals to people that believe stereotypes. Class-warfare. It won't help lower the price of gas, or lower food prices, or help you pay your electric bill the rest of the year. And wait till you get your gas bill this winter. You can thank the Dems for a 29% increase in your heating bill.

Yessuree boy those Dems sure are in touch with the average American. Poor McCain has 10 or 12 homes to heat this winter. He needs to find the nearest Democrat and kick him in the nuts for that.

Man I really dout most dems really care. Heck I don't even think this story has even reached most dems.... This is a non-issue and I would hope dems, republicans, independents, and who ever else agrees.

Obama is the one personally trashing McCain about not knowing how many properties he has, not some guy on the net.

McCain never stooped this low unless Obama opened his mouth first. McCain is not accountable for what anyone else says about Obama. Anyone who goes below the belt has gotten a rebuke from McCain personally.

But if Obama wants to get personal with McCain and personally insult him like he has on several occasions....it's only fair for McCain to respond.

If Obama's people get out of line and it blows up in their face a press release soon follows, not a comment from Obama himself. McCain has made a point of personally apologize himself if someone gets out of line.
