Democrats have been specializing in dirty politics, this topic is a prime example of it.

Next thing they'll do is start talking about how expensive the McCains shoes are......whoops..........they've already started that.

Pityful. Just plain pityful.

I wonder how many seats the Dems stole in the last election by using trumped up indictments, foot-tapping, and exposing dirty emails?

Wouldn't it be nice if Liberals could win on the issues instead of trashing their opponents.
I dont get this. Are you saying that Republicans are not dirty politicians?

I guess you are free to wonder.

Aaaww diddums. Perhaps if your sensibilities are hurt you should think about your own sides actions before you go hand out psuedo complaints about 'the issues'?

"Life in the Spotlight Must Be Grand"

McCain also referred to Obama as out-of-touch:

Quote:
McCain criticized Obama for not supporting McCain’s plan for a gas tax holiday, which would eliminate the 18 cents per gallon Americans pay for gasoline between Memorial Day and Labor Day.

“Obviously, Sen. Obama does not understand that this would be a nice thing for Americans,” McCain said.

He also sharply criticized Obama for saying that he was open to raising taxes on capital gains, which McCain said would affect the taxes of 100 million Americans who have investments.

“That means he has no understanding of the economy and that he is totally insensitive to the hopes and dreams and ambitions of 100 million Americans who would be affected by his almost doubling of the capital gains tax,” McCain said.

“He is out of touch with the economy.”

The second “out of touch” came when McCain, who is 71, was talking about comments Obama made a few weeks back when he described rural Pennsylvanians as “bitter.” Speaking at a fundraiser in northern California, Obama said rural Americans turn to faith and guns as a result.

“He believes that it’s out of economic concerns. We all know it’s out of a fundamental belief, a fundamental faith in this country and its values and its principles. Again, Sen. Obama, out of touch.”

McCain Twice Calls Obama 'Out of Touch'
When John McCain calls someone out-of-touch, it becomes fair for the accused to do two things: (1) rebut the state by showing how they are not out-of-touch, and (2) show how the other candidate is actually the one who is out-of-touch (i.e. not being able to remember how many houses he owns).

There is nothing pathetic about rebutting someone's comments and turning the insult back in their face. John Kerry didn't do it in 2004 and it played a big part in his election-failure. I know it's very bothersome to many to see a Democrat actually stand up for himself, but Obama is suggesting he isn't going to play the "I'm not going to dignify that with a response" response that is responsible for so many failed candidates.

It's a CHANGE we can all believe in.

I dont think its smart to simply turn the criticism around, as it simply implies the original ciriticism is correct. Your first option is better. Either ignore it, or debate it. The criticism being leveled against is that hes rich. McCain debated it correctly by saying, so what. He wants everyone to be rich. Then you compare issues. Do you want McCain's economics, low taxes, or Obamas, high taxes. One makes everyone richer, one makes everyone poorer.
