If you are refering to abortion and gay marriage then I believe her views are wacko, but that's just because I believe those kinds of issues shouldn't even be part of politics these days and I see no reason why I should believe what she believes. Besides that I don't think there is anything that could possibly be religious about her views.

I'm more referring to the views espoused by the church she attends, the pastors who preach there and what I have heard her say on videos from that church posted on the web.

I distrust fundamentalists of all stripes, esp. those who stand to gain political power and influence.

How do you defend this when given proof that many great presidents have believed the same thing?

Dangerous indeed.

America's history is marked with events of extreme and wanton violence colore with frequent comments tying these acts of depravity to god's will. From the genocide of the natives, through the phillipines, latin america, the vietnam war, and now the war of choice in Iraq. Its very disturbing to say the least.

To the degree that any of those presidents acted violently upon people and sought to justify it using the language of religion i find extremely indefensible and creepy. All rational and humane people should be outraged at any such comments and should take Palin or any other politician including Obama. McCain, or Biden to task for any such comments they make. Tying such violence to gods work is essentially no different than the insane statements we hear from the likes of OBL or the suicide bombers of 9/11.

I take exception to the whole history of civilization.

What makes Palin more dangerous than Obama? He is not tied to dominion theology or 'end-times' evangelicalism. As far as i can tell he is tied to liberation theology, i don't find that near as disturbing as Palin religious background.

But what danger do you think it poses? How, with the checks and balances that exist in our system, will this effect our country? You keep saying "dangerous." What is the danger?
