Re: Fox Poll Shows Obama Leading 46-39%

Obama will need better then 15% lead in the vote to overcome GOP mass strategy voter caging, voter suppression and fraud. We saw it in 2000 and in 2004. We will see again in 2008.

We did not see a need for better than a 15% lead in the polls to overcome them. You are exaggerating the effectiveness of these tactics drastically. They worked in the last two elections only because the last two elections were very, very close. This one isn't. They won't work this time.

The neocons dont care about polls - don't underestimate the power of shear dominating governmental power.

I don't, but I don't overestimate it, either, and I think you do.

Look, I'm well aware of the skullduggery that went on in Florida and Ohio, but that sort of thing is only possible in a very close election. In a blowout like the one shaping up, there's nothing underhanded that can be done that will reverse the outcome. And that's setting aside the question of whether McCain is crooked enough to resort to such tactics, of which I'm not convinced.

But even if he is, there aren't enough electoral votes in states that are close enough to tip the scales his direction by crooked efforts. It. Can't. Work.

You're worrying unnecessarily, and being completely irrational about this.

hmm, Ive heard that before - then we attacked Iraq.

Im not convinced McCain is that crooked either - but McCain did not choose Palin, his neocon run campaign did - like bush, McCain will not run the office of potus - the neocons will, likewise, McCain will not coordinate the mass voter fraud tactics of the neocons.

I love shit like this.

If McCain wins, it'll be because of voter fraud?

That's retarded.

If anything, the alleged voter fraud we've been hearing about lately would all, if it wasn't caught, favor Obama...

Uh -- are you aware that that as abso-friggin'-lutely NOTHING to do with the topic under discussion? I mean, we didn't have a national election over the question of whether to invade Iraq.

What is this, a senior moment?

(Sigh.)

OK, I can see that this is a waste of time. You enjoy your reality, ViPER, and I'll enjoy mine. Take care now.

No way.
The GOP is hurting, they don't have the money for all those goodies, and they don't have the key contests that are close enough to steal.
That stuff helps you when the state is a statistical tie, but there aren't that many states that are close. The election will be so far from close that the last minute fraud stuff will never happen, you don't risk pulling that crap so you can lose by 6% instead of 6.02%.
And you don't risk it to pick up a state with 6 electoral votes when you are going to lose by 150 electoral votes.

I hope so but I dunno. 2004 might have been pretty far from close too, how do we know what the real vote totals actually were? The only thing I'm still pretty sure of is that Bush didn't win honestly
