But, I am totally annoyed with the health care section. Here both of them are acknowledging that our deficit will be close to half of a trillion dollars, yet rather than concentrate on lowering medical care costs first, let's fork out more money in providing government funded health care before fixing the initial problem. Brilliant.
I'm not sure what insurance the politicians have, but retired military has Tri-care which is very good. I pay alittle over $500.00 a year for Myself, my wife and 2 Grand kids. Copay $12.00. My wife had a major operation on sept.2 08. The final cost was around $75K, I only had to pay $3K tri-care picked up the rest. This is a Gov. sponsered Co. but not ran by the Gov. If this type of policy could be offered to others it would most likely lower the cost even more.

I must have missed that part. I think we all missed the part where Obama told us where the imaginary line between "big business" and "small business" lies. Everyone in the middle is wondering how big that fine will be.

He is the messiah. Bow to him to his brilliance. He will do everything for everyone everytime. He is the cure, the remedy for all that ails you. He is "the one". He is "OBAMESSIAH".

No doubt Obama is the smooth talker here. If you vote for people based on how smooth the BS goes down, Obama wins.

I specifically missed the part where McCain didn't step up and ask where that line is.

Re: Here's your MSM coverage of the debate tonight

McCain came out strong, but then in the middle section he kind of got very cry-baby and whiney.

"I am not George Bush" said McCain, at least 3 months too late.

McCain was aggressive from the beginning, but his lack of grace and the middle section of this debate where everything just kind of slowed down to a halt while he was waiting for a series of apologies that weren't ever going to come cost him the win tonight.

The SCOTUS talk was interesting. McCain did himself no favors by saying he likes Ginsburg and Breyer.

His talk of balancing the budget in 4 years is ridiculous.

All the people calling Obama's positions BS in this thread...I can't wait for your reactions when Obama turns the country around and you are benefitting from his "BS" policies. Go read my conservatism is dead in America thread for some pointers.

As for the debate...yawn. So many issues not discussed.

The thing is Danny... your thread topic was BS as well. Two bullshits don't spell truth IMO.

Re: Here's your MSM coverage of the debate tonight

I'll say it over and over. I think Obama gave a weak debate performance in the first half an hour. If that's all people watched then I think it will hurt him in the polls. I also completely think that McCain got really whiney and complainy and....grouncy. People have just decided they want change. Two straight years of consistent branding works people and Obama has done that. Now, will he have big majorities. I'm not sure. I think McCain did his best work against Democrats, rather than against Obama.

And now he tells us that he’s the one who’s gonna take on the old boys' network,” he said. “In the McCain campaign that’s called a staff meeting!- Obama, 9/17/2008

Re: Here's your MSM coverage of the debate tonight

McCain buried himself with 3 things:

1) Ridiculing Obama for wanting to protect the health of pregnant women in the Abortion issue.

2) Ridiculing Obama for wanting nuclear power to be safe.

3) Suggesting that it's a good idea to make soldiers into teachers without any certifications or testing or anything.
