Re: Obama Compared America to Nazi Germany

This OP is quite a stretch with it's assertion, and is in no way "Current Events" and should be moved. Just because you find out something today doesn't make it current.

You sir, are no conservative. It is really ridiculous for you to keep up the charade.

I thought the same thing when I read his post.

Its his type that will lie about their beliefs because they are too embarrassed to call themselves what they really are.....liberal.

But I would be ashamed of it too.

Re: Obama Compared America to Nazi Germany

What Obama was saying in that quote was that the fact we were fighting Nazi Germany in World War II, which had similar (if even worse) racist doctrines encoded in law to those of the Jim Crow South, brought institutionalized racism into disrepute, and helped lead to court decisions and legislation that overturned it. He's absolutely right. Considering that it was normal for black people to be beaten by police, intimidated into not voting, lynched and raped with impunity, their churches firebombed and no one brought to justice, the comparison with Nazi Germany is apt. I suppose since we didn't have gas chambers and crematoria set up it wasn't quite as bad. Call it Nazi Germany's little brother, perhaps. And remember, the gas chambers and crematoria weren't in Nazi Germany, they were in occupied Poland. What was done to black people in the Jim Crow South was in no way better than what was done in Nazi Germany itself to Jews before World War II broke out.

Actually this comparison is much more appropriate than calling Obama a "socialist," or even a "Marxist," because he believes in "spreading the wealth around."

The audio recording of Barack Obama espousing his socialist philosophy of “redistribution of wealth” is all over the Internet and Fox News today (although most other media outlets are ignoring it), but there’s another disturbing section on that tape that has so far escaped notice.
PATHETIC! Simply PATHETIC!

Obama was discussing Brown vs. Board of Education and the need for equality in schools! How pathetic to turn a reasonable discussion into something that's completely out of whack!

And you conservatives like to blame Hollywood? Listen conservatives, Hollywood has nothing on your ability to twist and spin reality.

Ah, hell; I think you're right.

Except for those traitorous bastards who post pix of their communist heroes, like Fidel.

I may not fit your personal definition of conservative... If so, I take great solace in that.

Apparently you're not radical enough for the radicals.

Re: Obama Compared America to Nazi Germany

The point is simple, and really not hard to understand unless you’re an Obamabot with blinders on: as bad as segregation was (and it was terrible), to compare America during the time of Brown vs. the BOE (when we were dismantling segregation) to genocidal Nazi Germany with its pogroms, death camps, and forced labor camps, and more than six million murders, is not just ludicrous and wrong, it is a morally bankrupt argument that verges on Holocaust denial.

This is the character of the man the left wants to be President of the United States?
If Obama is elected in November, the country will get exactly what it voted for.
A far left socialist with an obscure history, with a slew of character flaws and less
executive experience than Sarah Palin.

Re: Obama Compared America to Nazi Germany

How frigging pathetic is the GOP?

In the middle of an economic crisis, they are trying to twist words from old interviews to build a transparently ludicrous case, and ignoring the actual problems that the country faces because in almost every case they are the root cause of the problem.

This crap is evidence that the target GOP voter is a complete moron, because only a complete moron could be swayed by this crap.

No wonder they are being swept from power by the American People.

I certainly hope you are right. Perhaps then, this Nation will stand a chance of recovering from the myriad of problems facing it from the last 8 years of one failed policy after another.

I'd love to know how you come to that conclusion. From all his experience?

It's called reading his policy proposals and investigating what informed sources have to say about them. You should try it sometime.

"Lebensraumideologie", "Rassenideologie" and "nationalsozialistische Weltanschauung".

edit: I forgot the "Führerideologie", but I have to say that this was something rather practical than theory.
